So, for a while now, I've been questioning whether or not I was asexual. Was never really into labels, and I didn't really have much to go off, since I do not know anyone asexual irl, and I was too cowardly to bring it up to people out of nowhere online. So, I did my own research. I came to the conclusion that asexuality fits me. Had been questioning it for a while now, but only my brother and my best friend knew. However, Christmas day I told my dad, and now my best friend has congratulated me on "coming out", lol. Feels pretty good, not gonna lie. So, guess I'm officially out?! XD 0 players like this post! Is asexual really considers LGBT? See, I am right there with you with the cuddling and stuff, but sex is gross. It just seems unnecessary. I've figured adoption would be a good route. Or just have a bunch of pets. lol 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Sparky Thank you!! <3 @Suzy Yeah, it is apparently?? I never knew till recently, haha. And if differs for each person, tbh! Adoption is great, and it helps give a good home to kids without one. Just always wanted kids of my own, you know? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Huh, I never really would consider myself part of LGBT. I'm honestly not interested in aligning myself, tbh. I'm just me. I totally understand you wanting to have your own kids. Most people do. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I've never really been one to give myself labels, tbh, but the question of whether or not I was asexual was something I debated with myself for for a long time, and it wasn't like I had anyone to compare it to? Media seems to forget all about Ace reputation, which is kind of sad. And I didn't even know it fell into the lgbtq+ umbrella until a friend told me, haha. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm just not a fan of the community because they seen to do some pretty shitty things, to be honest, and I'd rather not be associated with that (seems to be very anti-gun, pro-Marxism, anti-men, pushing cross dressing onto children's shows, pro-abortion, pro-communism, trans their own children, etc). I'm not really into sexuality being pushed onto the media, either, and it honestly doesn't bother me if I never see an asexual person on TV, as I know there is likely a psychological or medical reason that I'm this way. The whole label thing isn't great and I think it's probably not a really good thing to be bogged down by. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Depends on the person, tbh. Met some good people in the community, and some bad ones. I'm everyone's friend. I believe you should love who you love, everyone's got different tastes, and I couldn't care less who people choose love. But when people try and get you to think or feel a certain way, or attack you for your views, then I have an issue. My experience with the community is hit or miss. Met some people that were actually pretty disgusting to their own community. One person in particular has stuck in my mind. They kept spewing nonsense, hating on white people, men, straight people, gay people, pretty much anyone who wasn't a lesbian like them. Don't know why they hated men so much, but I tried telling them they should treat others how you want to be treated, but they wouldn't listen. When they started more toxic comments, I tried telling them they shouldn't say things like that, and they lost it. Called me homophobic because I didn't agree with their sexist views, and when I asked them to prove how I was being homophobic, they said "Would you ever date a girl?" I said no, as I'm not into girls. They said that proves homophobia. So I turned the tables on them, asking if they'd ever date a man. They said no, that would be disgusting, yet in their mind, that wasn't homophobic or sexist?? Just like with humanity as a whole, there's good and bad. I don't agree with all their views, just as they don't agree with mine. Never felt the need to have labels or groups etc. I'm just not interested in sex. I personally don't view myself as part of the community, but I respect others like myself who do. Suppose it's nice to be part of a group, but then again, I've always been a lone wolf, haha. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I also found out this year that I'm likely somewhere on the ace spectrum. Nice to know there's a lot of other ace and aro people out there 0 players like this post! Like? |
