King Busara aina and king Divinity are brothers born in the same unknown pride, they were not particularly close as cubs, although they did like each other. The brothers were chased out in the dry season once they were deemed old enough to be a threat to the king, they decided to form a coalition so they could survive in the dry season.

They lived in harmony for the most part after settling down with a few lionesses that had joined in the small unnamed pride,

But Divinity challenged Busara aina to be king of the pride, he felt that he did not have enough of a place in the pride, he thought his brother had too much power. Busara aina did not want to fight but his brother was attacking him, without a choice he fought and winned due to being a primal so he was much stronger than his older brother.

Busara aina named the territory after how it looked. It was a mountain with a large cave system that was turned into many different dens and a waterfall that turned into a long winding river that went into the rising sun, So he called it Umfula Wokukhanya Pride

(Which means River of Light in Zulu)

After growing his pride by claiming new lionesses and buying from the trading center he met a cheetah named Kahlia on the outskirts of the territory, they soon became friends and then lovers and she became the queen of the pride so there are cheetah and lion hybrids that are in the bloodlines.

DIvinity started his own pride and although it was much smaller it was much stronger with many lions of high stats looking to breed a powerful male to become the king after his first heir.

Busara aina knew his last days were nearing so he chose Osiris as the next king.
Eventually, Busara aina died of old age, this saddened the pride greatly, Osiris the spirits' eye was his chosen heir so he took the place of king

But not everything went well during Osiris the spirit's eye rule
On a bright and clear night, Moontear´s pride attacked, Osiris could not believe that Moontear would betray his pride, he told his pride to attack full force no matter what connections they had to the pride.

The battle was long and fierce with many dead and scars gained on both sides
After a hard battle put up by the now older Osiris he died from the hard strike by the younger king. The lions left back into the large mountains from which they had come.
Nephthys the Cold, the chosen heir of Osiris and the new queen, gathered all the lions and lionesses that wanted to come, she did not judge any that wanted to go find a new pride or start their own. Once everyone was gathered they set off to find new territory to rebuild the pride

Osirusara and a few lions from the older days of the pride stayed to start anew on the lands left by the original pride

Now that there were 2 prides with the same name Nephthys and Osirusara agreed on sub names for each pride
Nephthys was the original pride
Osirusara was the reborn pride

Nephthys found Divintys pride and defeated the old lion.
She let him live the rest of his life on the outskirts of the territory with any lionesses of his that would want to stay with him.

Eventually, the reborn pride and the original pride partially merged, they still retained the titles and separate leaders, but lions and lionesses were free to go back and forth from each pride.

They believe that ancestors can live as ghosts that are not able to be seen but stay with the pride after their death and have an afterlife called Kukumbatia Mwanga where they can go to be with loved ones, hunt, and play as much as they please, they believe that they can travel between the living world and the dead world.


They have graveyards for royalty (Kings, queens, princesses, princes.) and for normal lions.

after a lion dies they are buried and have a skull of a strong animal be put on top of their grave to guide them in the afterlife, sometimes this skull is specifically chosen by the lion, or its chosen by the current leaders and what they deem fit to guide the lion.

Most of the time these skulls are from animals like:
Elephants
Giraffes
Crocodile
Buffalos
But lions can have any animals guide them.


Mates are always buried next to each other and have a flower of the same kind put at their grave with their animal skull so the mates can find each other after they pass. Just like with skulls these flowers can be chosen by the lions or by the leaders.


If royalty is being buried they always keep special items like crowns and jewelry when buried,

~King and Queen~ King and queens are the leaders of the pride, they have equal power over the pride and decisions



~Prince and Princesses~ These are sons and daughters of the king and queen and they are to be respected



~Heir~ This is the next king/queen of the pride, they are trained by the current king and queen to learn the ways of the pride and how to be a leader



~Royal Advisor~ They help the king and queen make important decisions and making deals with outside prides



~Healer~ They are great with plants and herbs and help keep the pride healthy



~Lead huntress~ They are the leader of the hunters and are the best and strongest of them



~Huntress~ They make up most of the pride, hunting for food to feed the pride and sometimes patrolling if the protector/s are unable to



~Broodmother~ These are lionesses that are either too injured to hunt or better suited for this role, they protect cubs and keep them entertained when their mother/father can not be with them, they should be treated with the same respect as huntresses



~Protecter~ These are the submales of the pride, they patrol the territory and are able to take a mate and have cubs with any female other than the queen/s



~Adolescents~ These are lions from 1-1 year and 11 months that are training to be a huntress, healer, protector, or something else!



~Cubs~ These are lions from 0-11 months that are learning the customs of the pride
