Hey there! Something I absolutely LOVE about Wolvden is seeing that markings can 'mutate' into different, variant shapes. I have been a little disappointed that it isn't here (yet). So, I thought I'd make a suggestion!

What?

Variant marking shapes would result specifically from breeding, and WOULD NOT be able to be RMA'd or applied in any way. The base shapes could come from BO markings and app markings both, and would show up randomly in breeding. I mostly intended this as a way to make applicable event markings more interesting, but this can apply to virtually any mark!

I'll be using white or noctis in all of my examples because they're easiest LMAO but if anybody wants to make their own colored mock-ups, feel free!

How would they work?

So, for example, you could breed a stud with Sunrise Vitiligo to any lioness, right? Well... that marking might have a chance to mutate into a variant mark when it passes to a cub! It could show up as Sunrise Vitiligo Heavy, or Sunrise Vitiligo Light.

These variant markings could pass either their variant shape, or the traditional shape, with pass rates decided by the LD staff.

Perhaps different factors could work into how one gets the variant shapes, too! We will see?

Potential Examples

Keep in mind these are quick mock-ups! That and I'm not all that good at matching LD's marking style LOL o/
