https://www.lioden.com/wardrobe.php?c=gwrSlDbDVX (I literally cannot figure out how to post this image,, I'm so mad,,,) anyways, my lioness is based off of the stag beetle ( see reference here: https://www.nhm.ac.uk/content/dam/nhmwww/discover/stag-beetles/male-stag-beetle-full-width.jpg.thumb.1160.1160.jpg )! some notes: - the red face carving mark on her is meant to allude to the vibrant red of stag beetle pincers - additionally, her jaw guards are shaped similarly to their pincers - she carries a bundle of beetle-friendly herbs - she has a soft spot for all beetles and treats them with great respect, as she is fascinated by their survival strategies (she studies them) - she frequently visits beetle-battling tournaments to observe beetle fighting mechanisms - she has a tendency to take in any losing/injured beetles and nurse them back to health - she believes that her attire + pelt help her blend in with her beetles, and that they will see her as one of their own - there's a darker portion of fur separating her hind legs and torso; this is meant to mimic the middle part of a stag beetle (since it's very dark and separates the reddish front and back of the beetle) - she has a dark dorsal stripe to mimic the dark indentation that stag beetles have when their wings are tucked away - she has the butterfly nose color lol 0 players like this post!  What a peculiar lion! She's based off of iridescent beetles, specifically a dung beetle that turns green to purpley-pink. Notes: - Her eyes are lehsunia, which are in my opinion the closest I can get to a beetle's compund eyes - All of the foliage around her matches her green and purple - Same with the background 0 players like this post!
