Hello! This is going to be a Liolocke I will be participating in. The concept of Liolocke has intrigued me, and after taking a moment to think, I have decided to create one myself. Consider this Liolocke: Hard mode ;)

General Rules
- This Liolocke is run on a freshly-created side account! I will only begin with my submale slot and 2 territory slots.
- I may only win an extra slot if I defeat a wild male lion in battle, as well as if I am able to purchase it.
- No trading + purchasing items from other players allowed.
- My lion's appearances do not matter! As such, I cannot chase, kill, or turn away a wild lioness based on these factors.
- ★ Due to the setting of my Liolocke's lore, my adult lions are prone to falling ill. Before my lions' days begin, I will roll a die for the following factors:
Roll 0 - 25 — My lion(ess) is healthy! They can go on about their day.
Roll 26 - 50 — My lion(ess) has caught Meerkat's Cough. They can still hunt and patrol. However, as other lion(esses) are wary around their ill teammate, the ill lioness will have to hunt alone.
Roll 52 - 75 — My lion(ess) has caught Root Foot. Their feet are in too much pain to hunt or patrol. They must rest until the next rollover.
Roll 76 - 100 — My lioness has caught The Vulture's Embrace. This disease is known to cause excruciating pain, and has no known cure. My king will be forced to kill the lion(ess) in order to end their suffering.
- ★ Adolescents have a chance at getting a special illness! However, their immunity is still fairly high due to their age! The above bullet's system follows through here. I will roll a die for the following factors:
• 0 - 50 — My adolescent is healthy!
• 51 - 75 — My adolescent has caught Sloth's Slumber. They are too lethargic to train today.
• 76 - 100 — My adolescent has caught a much more intense version of Sloth's Slumber, a new illness the pride has dubbed Gerenuk's Fall. This is an rare disease which prompts adolescents to die in their sleep.
- ★ Pregnant lionesses are exempt from catching illnesses: an odd anomaly the king had noticed. As soon as they give birth, Pregnant lionesses will now be susceptible to illnesses. If a mother dies, any nursing cubs will be taken with her.
- Cubs are exempt from catching illnesses. Surprisingly, they are immune to these diseases! However, that doesn't mean cubs are invincible...
- ★ Lionesses who were immediately caught in explore will be exempt from catching illnesses until the next rollover.
- ★ I will NOT have a broodmother present in this locke. My cubs' survival is based on fate itself.

Hunting
- Scars will affect the chance for lion survival.
• Neck Scars — Rolling 0 - 50 results in instantaneous death; roll 51 - 100 to survive.
• Torn fur, blinded eyes — Rolling 0 - 40 results in infection, and a chance at death. Rolling 41 - 100 ensures survival.
• Face, Side, Cheek, Muzzle, Beaten Up, Nose Scratch, Long/Short scars on Right/Left Eye — Rolling 0 - 20 results in infection, and a chance at death. Rolling 31 - 100 ensures survival.
• Hip, Shoulder, Nose Ridge, Back Scratch, Belly Scratch, Front/Hind Leg Right/Left scars — Rolling 0 - 10 results in infection, and a chance at death. Rolling 11 - 100 ensures survival.
• **Lions who get infected but survive will be forced to rest until the next rollover.**
- Lionesses have 3 chances in their lifetime. If they fail to hunt three times, they will get chased.
- If 1+ lionesses complete a hunting quest, they will get an extra chance.
• ★ Each lioness may only have a maximum of 5 chances at a time.

Exploration
- ★ I can only explore if my energy bar is maxed out.
- ★ Using daily energy boosts is okay!
- ★ I may only have a chance at getting a lioness based on how many regions I have unlocked. (Example: If my level is high enough to where I can access the Temperate Savannah and Shrubland, I may attempt to gain 2 lionesses daily.)
- ★ I have free reign over what choices I make for the prompts I achieve!
- ★ In this world, everything might as well be considered a threat. I must attack each enemy I run into if prompted.
• ★ This is optional if I run into a friendly NPC, though I will most likely opt for the aggressive action if I feel like getting challenged (which, most of the time, I do)!
- If I am prompted to brawl a Rhino, Elephant, or Black Mamba and lose, I must go home and rest immediately. No more exploring for the rest of the day, as that attack took a huge toll on myself.

Battles
- I may flee battles if I know I'm going to lose. This does not qualify as a defeat.
- ★ I may be strong, but I know my limits. If I lose three battles, I must go home and rest. No more exploring until the next rollover.

Breeding
- No studs allowed! This includes reverse studding.
- ★ Lions will only have 2 chances at getting a successful pregnancy. If both chances fail, they may try again at next rollover.
- ★ Pregnant mothers must be nested immediately.
- Inbreeding is frowned upon. Should I gain an inbred cub, their chance at death is greatly increased. If I roll a 0 - 75, the cub will perish.
- Inbred lions are infertile. I will not breed an inbred lion at all.

Cub Care
- The survival of my cub is determined at birth. I will roll a die for the following factors:
• Normal, everyday cub with a normal, everyday mother— Rolling 0 - 50 results in death. Rolling 51 - 100 ensures survival.
• Nurturing / Focused mother — Rolling 0 - 40 results in death. Rolling 41 - 100 ensures survival.
• Brutal / Sinister mother — Rolling 0 - 60 results in death. Rolling 61 - 100 ensures survival.
- Each mother may only have two cubs or less per litter. If three / four happen to survive, I will drive away the weakest cub(s).
- ★ Raising the cub's survival bar will only happen if I play with them. I am only limited to the Play / Tussle / Groom options, and I cannot use toys to further boost this.
- Cubs must be trained daily (if they are of age).
- Until they reach adolescents, cubs shall be named "(Mother name)'s Daffodil (Male) / Peony (Female)"

Adolescents
- Upon becoming an adolescent, my cubs will gain their names! It will be a blend of their father and mother's names.
- ★ Only one adolescent may accompany a hunting party.
- ★ If I have a coexisting submale and adolescent male, they must patrol together.
- ★ If my adolescent male has bigger stats than my submale, they get a chance at a spar! This spar happens a month before the adolescent becomes two years old. These rolls will determine their fates:
• 0 - 50 — The submale wins, and the adolescent must leave the pride.
• 51 - 100 — The adolescent wins, and the submale must leave the pride.

Liolocke lore

My previous pride had decided my fate, and unfortunately, they did not take me kindly. On the eve of my second birthday, I have been discarded like a rotting chunk of trash—right in the middle of a bought of plagues, too. As a cub, I have taken interest in educating myself of these illnesses. My pridemates found this quite odd, and as such, I have been excluded most of the time. I'm not saying that this makes me an exceptional lion by any means; I tended to neglect my training for the sake of my education. For this, I have been exiled from my pride, regarded as a weak lion. Jokes on them, I will make my pride triumph.
As I make my journey, I found refuge in a nice, well-hidden cave. There are plenty of herbs here to collect and cultivate, and I can properly keep an eye on my pride—that is, if it thrives long enough. I have my doubts regarding my ability to lead, but I will try my best, and that is a promise. Hopefully, my pride will thrive in such a harsh environment. Mayhaps I should read my notes regarding the plagues...I have been seeing them everywhere recently...and they are growing worse at each rise of the sun.
A common one I have seen spreading in my former pride is Meerkat's Cough. Though this is not a particularly harmful ailment, we should still be wary. I shall isolate my lionesses who have caught Meerkat's Cough. The only symptom I have seen were...constant hacking. This is the worst I have seen; though, I'm glad it's easier to diagnose than it was a year ago.
A second one I've seen—and caught myself—is Root Foot. Depending on how well a lion rests, Root Foot will either be caught after a bought of Meerkat's Cough or after a restless night. This makes everyday tasks—even things as simple as walking a 20 steps—unbearable and painful to manage. I find that a week dedicated to rest helps a ton. I wish that my pride does not endure the pain I do.
This pain does not compare to the agony The Vulture's Embrace brings upon us. I have watched lions writhe around in pain, screaming in agony at each jerk of their limbs, each wiggle of the toe, each twitch of the tail. My previous pride forced them to hold on, attempting to search for a cure to this foul plague. Those lions were clearly suffering, and I will not tolerate this. I will put those affected out of their misery. Forgive my pessimism, but I fear that no cure will be found, no matter how hard we try.
Fortunately, I have never seen this illness in cubs and adolescents; that gives me a shred of hope that things will not be so bad. However, there are two illnesses that I have recently discovered in them: Sloth's Slumber and Gerenuk's Fall. While Sloth's Slumber makes an adolescent much more tired than usual, Gerenuk's Fall is...much more fatal in that sense. Fortunately, the adolescents are fairly healthy. However, I am going to expect that some children will fall asleep, and some will never be able to wake up.
I am going to expect plenty of losses. I am not sure if I will be able to cure my pride and spread my knowledge, but there is one thing I know for certain: I am plagued with fear.
