First of all, sorry if a similar topic already exists, but I made some research before posting and couldn't find anything in this board. With all due respect to our writers, I'm personally bored of being forced to read and click through the same storylines over and over every year. I've been playing Lioden for so long I could recite Wenet quests from memory and tell you the number of buttons you have to press to go through June story (it's 54). I suggest a simple addition which is a "SKIP" button that would take the player to the next meaningful decision (choosing a side or an outcome) or the next storyline quest (finding omens, bringing items...). I imagine it wouldn't take long to code as it would simply move the player to page x where they need to take an action. |

I havent read the repeated storylines for years now. I just, click the proceed button without reading? Its about the same as having a skip button, just instead of 1 click you need to do 2-4 clicks. Stories arent that long so, no support, I dont see the need to code in a skip button when you can already just like... click without reading. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Mad Hyena: Storylines are definitely longer than 2-4 pages. For example in January there's respectively 13, 4, 11, 13 pages per novel, times two if you use two accounts. Not to mention there are players who don't have a fast connection and have to wait for each page and image to load before they're allowed to proceed to the next one. If you click without reading anyway, a skip button sounds like a perfect tool for you. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Click one time, click ten times... it's easy enough to do. No need to add something so tiny, I feel. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@di [main]: Exactly! It's such a minor thing but it saves time AND data. It could be codded in using a simple 'a href'. Nothing more than a line of code most of us use daily. EDIT: I forgot to add that updates have a special section for minor changes, I genuinely fail to see why the main reason of the lack of support is the fact my suggestion would be hardly noticeable. ^^' 2 players like this post! I still dont support because, in a way, it will strip away the RPG part of it? Think of it like this - storylines are meant to be work you do to get reward. Clicking pages including in the "work" part, and compared to other tasks, even 10-15 clicks is a small part of it - sometimes completing the objective takes you 100+ clicks in explore etc. If that "Skip" was added, you'd literally just, got a shortcut through the quest - like in Skyrim you'd entirely cut out the stage of finding an NPC and speaking to them with a quick "press 1 button on keyboard and get your radiant quest". You may choose to ignore what NPC says but getting there and speaking to it IS still part of the quest. I dont feel such shortcuts should be added, for sake of integral feeling of RPG on lioden. Once an option is added to skip, it already strips away part of RPG feel, just by being there, by existing. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think you misunderstood my idea. I do not want a button to skip the ENTIRE storyline and quests, giving you instant rewards. This button would skip the "talking" part of the current chapter, just like you skip cutscenes or spam click through dialogues in games. It's impossible in Lioden, as you have to wait until the page and image loads before you're allowed to proceed. The creators of RPG games you mentioned assume the player might've played their story already and give them a choice to skip the boring part, offering instant action. Not to mention Lioden isn't a RPG game. ^^' 0 players like this post! Like? |

To begin with - yes Lioden IS more of an RPG. Because you play as a lion, you are your king - all NPCs talk to you as your lion, all actions are described as being done by "you". That is quite solid proof you're in the Role of your lion, so, RPG. No, I understand it right. But you misunderstood my reply. You suggest skipping all the travel to get to NPC and the need to speak with them at all. Spamming through dialogue is exactly how it is now - just clicking through the Next button as soon as the page is loaded, not giving it a read. But you suggest not having to go to an NPC/Town at all, thus, skipping a part of the quest. Not the same as spamming through dialogue. And why do you keep saying you have to wait until the page is 100% loaded? I can press Next as soon as base of the page is loaded, before images even start to load? Which is what I do. You dont have to wait all 100% way, unless you have some weird device? 0 players like this post! Like? |

This would make life so much easier. I've read these storylines so many times. Sometimes I still wanna read, sometimes I don't, and the days I'm not feeling it a skip button would make my life so much simpler. Edit: I also don't see the problem with supporting? Like you don't have to USE it if it gets implemented, literally just play like you always have. It doesn't affect anyone who doesn't want to use it, and makes things a lot easier for others. It's not that hard to just think about other people sometimes. 3 players like this post! Like? Edited on 05/09/21 @ 09:19:19 by Cyanide ๐ป {G1 Kiman} (#27473) |

Support! A simple quality of life convenience that doesn't hurt anyone and is easy to code is always a win from me. I donโt want to read 9 pages of (often badly written) storyline to get to what I want to do after having already read through it a few times several years ago- and if I happen to skip it and suddenly want to read, the wiki's easily available, and no important information for quests is contained in the slog anyways. Skipping dialog in a video game is also a touch less time consuming than on a web pet sim, or at least this one, I'd dare say. Spamming spacebar or Enter vs the whole page reloading and dragging the mouse down to wherever the button has decided to move to doesn't require much more effort, but on a day when you're already struggling to find it in you to Explore or breed your lionesses, every bit counts. If RPG elememts are such a concern, maybe have the feature only unlock after you have completed it once? But as someone with a very bare bones data plan, I'd rather save every bit I can - pl ease, I just want to trigger omens and the horse to spawn so I can spam explore, refresh dens, and get things done with DX 2 players like this post! big support. I don't care much about storylines and I just wanna get to the quest and actual parts. I don't wanna click 10 buttons to get to the thing I am here for -_- 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Support for all reasons already mentioned!! Like Cyan said, if it's implemented, no one's holding a gun to your head to use it, but it'll benefit the people who will use it! After clicking through the beginning June novel some 3 times already, soon to be more, I would appreciate a skip. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I tend to skim the storylines as a refresher, since I forget everything after a year passes lol. I don't think I'd utilize the skip button too often, but it would be a good thing to implement for some players! I do think that the skip button should only be an option for players who played through the storyline the previous year, though. 0 players like this post! Like? |
