So I do my best to get as specific as I can if there's a certain request, but at a point it's gonna be like "welp I can't find this pic" so what I might do instead, is try to remove some of those specifics. Say it's the cat you mentioned above. If I can find a pic of a dilute tortie with high white, curly ears and long fur, where the tail isn't visible and the white may not be perfect but its "close enough" to point markings, then that's the picture I use with the genetics filling in what we can't see. This isn't a perfect solution, but it's only a temporary one, I've been working on something for a few days now that will hopefully be released in the New Years update that would solve that problem from ever happening. If I don't get it done by the 1st, then I'll likely release it around the 21st, which will be the 5 month update :3 0 players like this post! Like? |

K, that makes sense! and litters, can a she-cat/molly have multiple litters to separate toms? Stalactiteblaze is going to have maybe 2 studded litters before a permanent mate or do I have to pick 1 sire in her entire life? And if I can only pick 1 do studs count? Also can a litter have multiple fathers? 0 players like this post! Like? |

There's no one mate for life rule, she-cats can have litters to as many different toms as you'd like ^w^ For sake of complexity, a litter cannot have multiple fathers in this game. I know they can in real life, but my "determining genetics based off the parents" skills are still lacking so for the time being one father per litter ^^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kk, thanks! And (sorry for so many questions) can someone pray to Starclan for a certain breed and colour? like a cream Maine coon or fawn Cornish rex. Also, do cats stop being breedable after a while? I know in real life it's 14 years but here? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Like with the mutations, that's two specifics, so you could ask for either a cream cat OR a main coon but not a cream main coon :3 As for breeding age, once you decide to retire your cat to make them an elder, that's the point when they can no longer have kits. Once a cat hits around 13-14 years, I'll make a mention to the clan like "heyyyy this cat has one year remaining before they can start dying of old age, and they are at a higher risk of injury/death while on patrols", then at 16 years I start rolling every reply to find out if a cat dies or not. If they make it to 17 years they are a guaranteed death the following moon. And no worries x) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Right, in The tribe of rushing stream I'll get a dilute tortie or calico devon another way, and are medicine cats allowed kits here? On a user's birthday or like 1 year anniversary here do they get something? And if a clan only has purebreds of a certain breed (I plan on my wolvden clan to only ever have pure devons) do any studs they hunt for automatically become that breed? 0 players like this post! The warrior code and its interpretation is up to individual users here, so one clan could forbid medicine cats from having kits, another could readily allow it :3 Since there's not really a way to "see" birthdays and I'm pretty sure its against a rule somewhere to ask for people's birthdays, then I think there will be two ways for users to pick out a more custom cat with multiple specifics: On the year anniversary of that user's clan/tribe/whatever, and then on the year anniversary of the game :3 0 players like this post! Good point someone could say it was their birthday for a free cat/stuff, and that makes sense for anniversaries. If a clan has a code against medicine cat kits but a medicine cat has kits will you do anything about it or let them respond to it? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Honestly, if they have a rule in their code against it but their medicine cat goes for it anyways, I won't say anything. I'll assume they've got a cool plot thing they want to do in their story portion, or that they're doing it intentionally for whatever reason, and I won't say a word 0 players like this post! Like? |

Alright, I'm sorry if I ask too many questions, I'm just tryna find out how it works fully but if a clan/tribe/whatever only has purebred of one breed if they searched for a stud would it be that breed? My Wolvden tribe will probably only have pure Devon rex and if a cat in it searched for a stud would he be a Devon rex? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Unfortunately no, the breed found through search for stud is determined using a randomizer, so whatever the randomizer rolls is what breed the stud will be, there's no guarantee of a specific breed 0 players like this post! Like? |

Oh, that makes sense though as this is a randomized thing and the results aren't controlled by anyone. Folded ears from Scottish folds are dominant from my understanding so if a normal cat is bred with a Scottish fold all the kit(ten)s will have folded ears, does Clan Quest follow that logic? And if a cat with giantism is bred with a cat with albinism will the kit(tens) either carry both, carry one, have one, have both or it's different between the kit(ten)s? 0 players like this post! The passing rate of folded ears is actually closer to 50/50, so about half the litter rounded down will have folded ears guaranteed, As for the multiple mutations, all mutations have the same passing rate with a few exceptions as listed below: Albino is dominant over Melanism Giantism is dominant over Munchkinism Rex/Wirehair is dominant over Hairless Laperm is dominant over Rex Bobtail is dominant over Kinked Bobtail So you could have a Munchkin who's hairless, or a munchkin, or a hairless kit, all born to a hairless/munchkin parent combination, it's just however the mutations pass. As of right now im using a kitten generator system, but I'm still researching more. I'd like to be a little more set in kitten passing genetics before I start doing my own passing rates. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 29/12/21 @ 11:50:04 by Whisper (#237207) |

Okay, I'm really interested in the genetic system here so I know what to do to breed specific kit(tens) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Couple of questions. How much does Beetlepaw have to learn to complete his training? I just posted my first reply since Bramblepelt got pregnant. Does the time until birth go down or does this post not count? 0 players like this post! Like? |
