It would be quite cool to see some decor themed around Chinese culture! Things such as: Decor! Chinese Guardian Dogs or Foo (or Fu) Dogs. They are also considered lions! A little backstory: They always come in pairs (a male and a female). The male always has his paw on a ball and the female has hers on a cub. They can be see guarding the Forbidden City in Beijing, China. The female represents Yin and the male represents yang! Lion Dance lions may also be quite cool! They perform at large events and festivals to chase away evil spirits and bring good luck! Lion dancers go through intense training and hard work. It requires talented powerful athletes! Following link shows just a little bit of what the lion dancers go through: Lion Dance Training Chinese Lanterns could also make for a beautiful decor! These are a symbol of good fortune. Red is a lucky color in Chinese culture and the golden tassels represent wealth and fortune. The Chinese Lantern Festival, held on January 15, and marks the end of Winter and return of Spring. There is a custom giant panda decor but it might be cool to have another as well! Did you know China owns almost every panda in the world? All pandas you see in zoos are loaned out by China! After a set period of time, they are all moved back home. Even the offspring are under the jurisdiction of the Chinese government! The only panda that isn't owned by China are from the Chapultepec Zoo in Mexico City named Xin Xin and Shuan Shuan, as they were born before the law was set in place! Just as the classic Zodiac signs from the Babylonians (Libra, Scorpio, Aries, etc), there are 12 Chinese Zodiacs as well. As we have Zodiac decor, I thought it might be cool to have Chinese Zodiac decor as well! It is said they got their order from the order they showed up at the palace. The Rat being the first to arrive the ox, second, the pig last. Just as with the Babylonian Zodiacs, all of the Chinese Zodiacs all have their unique characteristics. The Horse is energetic and independent. The Dragon is fearless and charismatic. And so on. Mooncakes 月饼 (maybe held in a lion's mouth) were a brilliant suggestion made by Cirilla (#4207)! The tradition of eating mooncakes found its roots during the Mid-Autumn Festival during the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368). This festival began as a custom to worship the moon during the Zhou Dynasty over 3,000 years ago as a way to appease the gods and have a plentiful harvest the following year. Made from a sweet pastry and often filled with red bean, sesame, or lotus seed paste, they are often decorated with intricate patterns that symbolize good luck. Pere David's Deer 麋鹿 suggested by Mots - RP Loved🏒 (#5378) The Pere David's deer, also known as the milu or elaphure, is a species of deer native to the river valleys of China. The literal translation of 麋鹿 is "mi-deer." Recently reintroduced into some areas, they had gone extinct in the wild. They have very unique antlers, the tines almost pointing backwards. As Mots mentioned, they resemble a combination of many animals, from a donkey to a camel to a cow. I agree with them! It would be amazing if they added it into the game, as it would bring much needed attention to an endangered species. Backgrounds! More Chinese themed backgrounds (kind of like the Japanese themed ones we got for Black Friday) could be very cool as well! Pagodas, with their iconic features are a staple of Chinese architecture. This area called the "South Putuo Temple" in Xiamen allows visitors to experience the beauties of China. A beautiful destination, it offers stunning views and immerses you in the unique scenery. The spectacular South Putuo Temple was built by Buddhists during the Tang dynasty. Another background idea could be the iconic Great Wall of China. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, this massive man made project is 13,171 miles long. It started being built in the 14th century and wouldn't be completed until the 17th century. It was made to protect the country from outside invaders and is one of the most impressive structures in the world. Having a Terracotta Warrior background would be amazing! The Terracotta Army's history dates back to over 2,200 years ago. Its construction began in 246 BC. The project took over 40 years to complete and was designed to guard over Qin Shi Huang's tomb. There are around 8,000 warriors and 600 horses and even some chariots. Every single warrior is different. No two are identical. Found in Xian, China, the massive army spans about the size of two football fields. To add soon: (Backgrounds..?) -The Classical Gardens of Suzhou, Jiangsu -The Yangtze River and the Three Gorges -The Summer Palace, Beijing -The Forbidden City and Imperial Palace, Beijing Decor to Add: Backgrounds to Add: Bamboo Pathway- tiger lily (#208692) Lemme know if you have any suggestions/critiques/any other ideas and I'll add them to the list! Thank you for checking it out and I hope you enjoyed reading about the unique culture of China :D |

Maybe Pere David's deer? It is a unique species that looks like a mish-mash of pretty much every animal. Neck of a camel, but not a camel. Body of a donkey, but not a donkey. Hooves of a cow, but not a cow. Antlers of a deer, but not a deer. And the antlers alone are odd in that they are upside down. The tines face downward instead of straight up like an elk or red deer. They are extinct in the wild, but it would be fun to introduce an extremely rare animal decor and bring attention to it. So maybe one day when it is reintroduced, people will be made more aware and want to learn more about such an odd deer. And we could do that with decors on our lions. 0 players like this post! I am very happy to see this post. I am a player from China. I was inspired by your post, but I am not good at drawing, so I had to tell my friends my idea. We are going to design a lion dance costume to decorate the cubs. Like this https://i.hd-r.cn/a4c81e76de67bb622df8436bf88a4172.png 0 players like this post! Like? |
