Hello, dear! I support this idea heavily. I love the colors and the delicate features you tried to bring out in the coat around the eyes and undersides. The white ticking-like markings on the back are beautiful as well and make it look even more realistic! Well done.

I think, especially with as many wildlife creatures losing their homes in fires in the recent years and suffering habitat loss in general, it would be a nice thing to do, and maybe when it is released in a community update, a paragraph could be added for people to gain awareness that domestic rabbits are not the same as wild rabbits? One can live on its own and the other will more than likely perish without human intervention. I had a bunny baby whose mother was a domestic and was abandoned outside for many months. She had a nest and made shelter in someone’s barn. She was rescued, but despite my best efforts, she did not make enough milk and her babies passed away. While rabbits might be seen as a nuisance to many people, they are in fact not considered a part of the rodent family, and with lots of love and patience, can be wonderful lifelong companions. And for people that get a rabbit and can no longer care for it, instead of dumping it, there are rescues across the states and other places in the world to take them in.

With all that being said, I’ll have myself a queen with this base if it comes out!! You are a very good artist and I hope to see more ideas by you sometime.

If I may, I do have some critique though.
The very light specks on the back are too bold, they'd be best off being blended in more; other than that the base looks absolutely amazing.

Respectfully not support. The art is very good and I like the natural browns of it, as a positive. The main reason I'm not in favor is that looking at the base, without seeing the reference pictures of LD April art, I wouldn't have any reason to identify it as a rabbit themed base.

I think it'd be a very cute animal-inspired generic base idea, but for an April specific base, I'd want to see something a bit more striking or distinctive, such as various rabbit marking patterns like the English Spots NCL markings we got.

I'm not really sure how it might be more striking - do you have any suggestions?
The other rabbit colors/markings that occur can be covered by existing bases for the most part, and I feel like trying to incorporate more rabbit markings into the base would make it too muddled.

Also, I do like the disclaimer of domestic bunnies not being able to survive in the wild that Laura Wayland suggested! I think it might be good to have on the April Event news post if they do add it!

@Firenkyo, thank you for the condolences. My king is actually based off of the runt baby (one of a litter she had after being taken in) I was attached to that sadly passed away in my hands. He is my living memorial for him. I didn’t mean to take over your art post to spread that idea, but I’m grateful you liked the idea. If nothing else, maybe people will come across it here. This would be a wonderful idea! the little specks on the back make it look like real fur Imo. One concern I do have is how identifiable it is among other bases, especially if you take all the different markings and opacities into consideration
