The higher your stats are the higher chance your main male lion has to win fights.

I would expand territory once you get more lionesses and start breeding.

To find higher stat males go to leaderboards in crossroads.

You can ! However, as you learn more about markings, base colors and genetics of this game you may want a different male lion once you progress in the game.

Use him as much as you'd like but he is just a starter.

okay very starter tips

to win fights you need stats, which you can get for your current king by levelling up and fighting for skill against other kings (always fight against kings with lower stats)

Items like giant torts and some amusement items/food items give stats or experience too! they're also a great way to level up/stat boost.

impression is also a good thing to level up. the quickest way to do this by far is to claim lionesses in explore. just, all of them. if you try and claim everyone you'll get at least some of them! You can expand your territory as needed by fighting for it too. If you breed the NCL to pretty low gen kings, you can normally sell off the cubs for ~200sb+ which makes money quite nicely.
