Say I want to breed/create a lion that is totally black, what would be the best way to go about it? I know there are applicators that can be crafted and or bought, so that's probably a good place to start. I think breeding with a Penumbra lioness might also help, along with breeding items and/or enhancements. Any other ideas? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Melanism. No but seriously, go for like noctis, ebony and onyx markings, they are basically the best black markings there are. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Clean means theres no instance of inbreeding in their heritage (some say if you have the big 4 in the heritage too, but I personally believe just inbreeding) 0 players like this post! Like? |

I have a side breeding project on my other account where I'm breeding what i call "faux melanistic" - straight dark black lions! My stud is a melanistic lion with an Onyx base and I've been breeding him to females of Noctis, Obsidian, ebony, onyx, and black. So far I have been successful! Here is my first success male - https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794160466882 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ah, ok, that makes sense. Although, according to Lioden logic, inbreeding doesn't actually have an affect on the cubs or other lions/ lionesses, does it? If not, why make such a deal about 'clean' cubs? I guess probably for players who aren't to keen on the idea of inbreeding, even if it's harmless. Or is there some sort of achievement, or limitation placed on inbred cubs? 0 players like this post! Like? |

No not really, people wanted a challenge and then it became a widespread thing. Clean cubs sell for more too 0 players like this post! Like? |

Inbreeding has no effect on the game, but people make a huge deal out of it 0 players like this post! Like? |
