Many generations passed within the heavens, praised for her talents worshipped by many.... one day blending into another, boredom of her daily life led her to her curiosity of watching others below seeing how the ones lived, she turned her back on the Gods, choosing to give up her immortality to walk along others on earth.

Hebe's power over life and death started out joyful and a gift spending her days making the elixirs, over time she became over whelmed so many lions coming to her to expand their lives. however she did enjoy being important and praised for her blessing.

Once her thoughts turned to her true nature of her soul, she hissed "greedy mortals" her heart slowly become black as her fur closed off to all; these lives in her paws... her green eyes shining an eerie glow as she realizes just how powerful she was, if she desired she could deny her youth giving meal allowing them to pass without a second chance.

Elsie, was another cub presented to Malichai as a young cub from a neighboring pride. Malichai has done his best to be a father figure to the young cub. Elsie has quickly taken to the pride and flew up the ranks of her new King's pride. from an unwedgeable cub, mothered by several broodmothers, to a strong willed adolescent taken under Uru's wing and taught the basics of hunting, impressing her King to think of more for her than just to be one of his huntress to now a young adult, Malichai's Lady In Waiting.

Though there is no romantic interest between Elsie and her King, her rule was more of duty to serve her new King to serve him as he sees fit. However he treats her with respect and indeed truly enjoys Elsie's lovely spirit and company and often refers to her as "My Dear Elsie" or simply "My Dear".

Elsie is however currently on maternity leave. Malichai agreed to breed her with a close ally of his. Elsie agreed, not extremely thrilled by the idea but agreed to out of pure dedication to her King; beneficial for both her King and the King she was "coupled" with. She smiled sweetly thinking to herself "It's my duty to serve my King, he will care for me, i know that he will never intentionally endanger me, if i am to serve an ally of his, so be it"

The former King had made a deal with the head hyenya, Boetius. In return for staying out of his territory, he would get cub meat. Boetius's mouth watered, cub meat was a rarity. Every new moon, the hyenas stayed away, bringing them several cub carcasses. When Boetius waited one night, the new moon brought no new cubs to his overgrown shrubbery, where he rested after his long days of scavenging for scraps to survive. Several hyenas started getting restless, hungry for their treat, a treat that never came that night. Boetius paced the border of the former King's land, knowing that his hyena pack would be no match for his powerful strikes. Another new moon comes and goes.

Liwen l'Ombre roared out to get everyone's attention, before leaving to search his territory for any trouble. The Shamon sisters nodded, showing they knew to be on guard now, but with Bennu nearby, what was to fear? She'd pounce and kill anything that came near just for her sheer love of the thrill of killing.

The Hunt Mistress, Kendra bowed slightly, then nuzzled both the sisters. They needed fresh kills, Kendra took a few of the huntresses to go with her, eying her rebellious, playful daughter across the small clearing, too busy watching birds to care about anything else.

Yowaki groomed a young cub, the only one this heat season to survive. With so many deaths this year, this pride was in need of new offspring. The cub whined as Yowaki bathed them. She sighed. The cub had finally drifted off to sleep with her so closely nuzzled into her chest fur that she dared not move. She soon fell asleep, smiling happily to have time to close her eyes, being the only broodmother to take a tole on her.

Yowaki awoke to the loud cry of the young cub, her eyes springing open, looking up to come face to face with a hyena! She bolted up, trying to scoot the cub behind her?! Where was the cub? Her eyes focused and the young cub was whinnying hanging from the hyena's mouth. A glimpse she got before the hyena bolted out of the den. Yowaki roared loudly, alerting the others of the threat. Viti & Neemen as well as the rest took off after the hyena, dashing into the forest around them, Bennu quickly sprang into action, catching up with Boetius. Chomping down on his tail, the small cub whaled out a cry.

Kendra's head shot up from her prey as she heard a cub cry. This far out into the wild?! As her head swung in the direction of the cry, she saw the Shamon sisters. She roared, scaring off the prey she had been tracking. The other girls followed her as she dashed off across the open field into the brush of the trees. The hyena had a pack near by.

Liwen l'Ombre walked back into his main area, expecting the welcome back as normal as the girls of his pride always worried when he had to explore as he was the only male of the pride. Looking around, he noticed no one else was here, not even Coniglio, who normally rarely ever went far from the dens... A loud roar cut through the eerie silence, scaring off wildlife.

He looked in the nursing den, at least expecting to see Yowaki sleeping with the cub.... What he found was a small patch of blood, that scent... His mind screamed HYENA, sending him into a panic; how? Why would they dare enter a lion's den? He closed his eyes. The scent took him far away from his territory, his strong muscles carrying him off as fast as he could. This was the only cub. These were the girls that raised him, cared for him... he might not be fond of the job he was raised to do, but they were HIS. As he ran across the forest, the scent only got stronger, but a powerful stench of blood hit him hard, stopping him in his tracks. He heard hyenas. His life fell apart the moment he saw the corpses of his girls. The Shamon sisters, who raised him, gave him hell for the mistakes he made but always loved him. He was their last hope... and he failed them.

The rage that hit him was unlike anything he'd ever felt before, and his life with them flashed before his eyes as the hyenas surrounded him, pacing. All he saw was red, so much blood... He snapped out of his trance as a hyena bit down on his back leg. With a strike of his clawed paw, the hyena tumbled back, the other hyena taking a few steps back, then the full pack of hyenas closed in on him. As one tried to nip his leg, he swirled around, pinning the hyena down, one chop to the back of the neck and a few quick jerks of his head cracked the hyena's neck. One by one, the hyenas fell from his rage, slowly losing energy. Liwen l'Ombre huffed. "Only a few more to go," he thought to himself as the largest hyena came into view. Liwen l'Ombre demanded to know why. "Payment" was the only word Boetius spoke before attacking Liwen l'Ombre. This hyena was half the size of Liwen's large frame. Liwen was winded, breathing heavily, and bleeding wounds on his limbs and back from the hyena's attacks. Boetius sank his teeth into the back of Liwen's neck, Liwen turned his body, rolling back onto the hyena, Liwen using his back feet kicked him off. Beotius, feeling the tole of the fight, turned back to flee, Liwen roared, telling him there was no backing out now he was going to die. As Boetius started to flee Liwen pounced on his back, his teeth digging into Boetius' throat. Liwen thrashed Boetius' small body around long after he heard the snap of his neck until he had no energy left.

He was badly beaten and scared. He looked around at the lionesses. The only thing left for him to take with him now to remember his mistake and his loss was Kendra's opal pendant broken from it's chain he picked it up in between his teeth and limped his way back to his lonely den.... what would life bring him? Would he really want to try again?
