so! I have an heir I've been stat training, and I want to transfer them over to my side to freeze, because they'll die before I can king them without paying. Problem! My side hasn't been rolled over in more than 7 days, because it's freezing some lionesses on their last breedable day. I therefor cannot send anything to my side account until I roll it over. The suggestion!I want linked accounts to not be affected by the account activity stopping transfers from happening. I don't understand why they are affected, and I can see no negative side effects as to get those lions/items/ect back you'd have to roll over eventually. I know a lot of people freeze their side accounts until feb when barked breeding is incredibly common (which is what I'm doing) so being able to send lionesses over at any point would be incredibly useful. Let me know if you can think of any negative effects of this, or any reason why it would be a bad idea! |

I assume the reason this limit exists is because it makes funnelling and other such issues much easier for staff to prevent, and keeps active/inactive accounts at least a bit more balanced. Obviously for most people the benefit from the proposed change would be minimal. But for hardcore players with plenty of very valuable lions it would be a much bigger bonus, especially those only using one frozen account for lions belonging to several people/friends/etc - in this scenario they would all be able to just send their stuff to the frozen account's linked active account, so it would then be transferred and frozen from there. People tend to unfreeze far less often than they would want to add more lions for freezing - maybe only once or twice per year - so that alone wouldn't be enough of a limit imo. The benefit of being able to keep adding things to an entirely inactive freezer account all through the year with no rollovers and therefore no aging penalty for already-frozen lions would be huge imo. I think the whole thing would quickly get incredibly unbalanced :( ![]() |

@Myriad I can sort of understand this as it'd definetly make it harder for mods to track but the valuable lions/items arn't actually worth that much on a frozen account you don't plan to roll over are they? Like I said above, I know a lot of people (such as myself) freeze things like RLC and hyrbids on side accounts till Feb so we can sell barked heats/bark the heats for ourselves, but there's no real worth in those lions/items until the account is rolled over and they become accessible. You can't sell/trade etc frozen items or lions and most items can just be buried till later in the year if you want to sell them when the demand is high. Lions on the other hand, especially rare ones, have a pretty steady worth the entire year round and actually decrease in worth in Febuary (at least hybrids do) because breeding them suddenly becomes much faster. I may be misunderstanding what you're saying though so feel free to correct anything I've said! ![]() |

I don't think it's true to say lions have a steady worth throughout the year tbh, not in a lot of cases. I don't freeze a whole lot myself and I don't sell many high value lions in general so I'm not the best person to ask, but the obvious ones that come to mind are male groupies. Their value increases exponentially beyond May. But to a great extent imo the value isn't in keeping the lion to sell at some other time when they'll be worth more, it's in keeping them frozen and un-aged in general, so they don't LOSE value. Whether waiting for certain events to breed more cheaply (February and September are obviously the biggest ones, along with crunchy worms in October in the case of RLs). Or making sure you have them in stasis for future steps of breeding projects without wasting their heats. Or keeping spare high stat reps, either to patrol/king yourself or sell for good money when LB studs haven't rolled much... actually now I think of it high stats are another big example where value can fluctuate considerably through the year based on as little as there being less active LB players during slow months, because that affects the availability of 5-6k+ cubs so much. I guess my argument is that the freezer itself has nearly as much value as the lions themselves, and much more so if you can constantly add to it without any aging penalties. ![]() |

oh see that makes a lot of sense when I think about it in those terms! Being able to add to it freely does come with the downsides you've mentioned. As it is, If an account were to be rolled over every 7 days (which is the minimum amount of rolls you need to always be able to transfer things to it) lions would still age, if at a slower rate. Admitedly I'd still say the benefits outway the downsides, but that could be because the benifits would benifit me. ![]() |

I mean don't get me wrong, in theory I would really love this and it would definitely help me personally! :) But like with lots of suggestions that would make stuff easier I feel like it would be detrimental to the game as a whole in the end unfortunately. ![]() |
