Kivuli|Somnus

It’d been a busy time, Kivuli taking souls back from the battlefield. He had left Coy’s for last. As he drags him from his icy domain and throws him in front of his parent, the impact the battle had on him is obvious. He’s covered in blood, scratches from those who did not wish to leave their bodies. Spikes of ice grow out of his shoulders, and the flames in his eyes burn far too bright.

“I hope you have fun with this one.” His smile is manic as he laughs.

Angel|Sleekwater

He hums. " No, but Haven does! He actually caught most of the fish in the hoard at the moment" He gestures a paw towards the pile of prey- hidden in a mud hut away from the sun.

" He also showed me how to dry out the meat in small amounts, to help preserve it" He explains with a smile.

" But.. as for me- I'm rather crumby at it" He chuckles sheepishly. " Dolly tried to teach me once when she and I were younger. She came with me on missions back then.. but I sucked at it" He recalls fondly to the she

Domino|Sunbaked

He strode back into camp- his bag being stuffed with all kinds of things so he could help sunbaked build more altars. He smiled and greeted those who he passed by- soon entering the healers den- tilting his head at the sight of strangers in it.

He clicks his tongue looking at the queen. " Well! Isn't this a party! Have you already found a replacement for me?" He teases to Hyena- making his way through to the shelving to re-stock some herbs.

" Well look who's here. " Hyena grumbles- eyes narrowed. " We really could have used you out there you know." She remarks coldly. Domino laughs and shakes his head.

" Ah! But you didn't need me did you? I can tell by the scent on you! The rot king is dead? Isn't he?" He flashes a toothy grin in her direction.

She huffs- " Yes. Where did you go anyhow?" She asks- Domino dumps out the remains of what's in his bag with a hum. It seemed to be materials for different altars.

" Katsani can't run a pride by herself you know! It's a dreadful thing to have only one god in a pride! Gods are stronger together!" He proclaims

Harris|Mangrove

" So.. it's not a mutation?" Harris was speaking with his grandpaw- after a long string of tears and apologies. Harris munched happily on a slab of Rhino meat as he listened to his old man's words.

Howl nods. " Yes, I had dorsal fur when I was your age as well. So did my pa and his. But we found that once your mane comes in- it usually morphs into it" He pats his head with a warm smile- making Harris scoff.

" That's odd. Do you think my mane will be cool? Like Pa's? Or yours?" The young lion asks. His grandpaw nods with a purr, much to Harris's delight. He pauses to eat another bite of meat before speaking again- in a hushed tone.

" Hey Grandpaw? What did Grandmaws parent's think of you..? Ya know.. since you were a pride lion once?" He asks sheepishly- thinking back to the Tigon he'd met earlier.

Grandpaw Howl hums- squinting in thought as he recalls.

" I don't truly think they ever really liked me. But your maw was a stubborn gal. Still is. " He laughs- thinking back with glee.

" What did she look like back then?" Harris asks next. Howl smiles- eyes lidding halfway.

" She looked just like she does now.. strong, fierce, tender and kind. Eyes that cut right to your soul. And a voice that sounds like a song." He sighs happily.

" The only thing I ever think changed in her was her heart. I'll tell you what- when we first met? She wanted nothing to do with me. After a while- I decided that I should stop bothering her. I left the area and stayed at a little oasis not far from here. And when I woke up the next morning? She was waiting for me with a sour little pout! All upset about me and where I'd gone." He laughs, making Harris smile.

Talus looks over at Domino, looking him over “I’m sorry, who are you? I am Talus. I was the healer here before…well, an incident with the former king.”

Sage|Mangroves

Sage had grown antsy after what happened to Harris. He’s back by the border river, catching fish. Part of him hopes to see the lioness again, but he isn’t holding out hope.

Angel|Sleekwater

He blinks- letting a pause hang before he asks. " You would? That'd be great!" He chuffs- a bit shocked by her kindness. He honestly hadn't gotten any time to get to know her with everything that's been going on.

Domino|Sunbaked

He promptly ignores Talus at first- humming and cleaning things around the den. Hyena clears her throat- which sparks his attention. He looks over to her with interest, before she points to Talus. A stern glare settled on Domino.

Domino trills a greeting to him " Oh! How wonderful! Another healer! I am domino! I wander these lands with the gods by my side till I find prides that are sick and in need of my help!" He introduces himself with a small bow.

Hyena looks to Talus- elaborating with a groan. " When you left we needed a healer.. and he kinda. Just- popped up. " She sighs.

Domino grins- prancing over to Hyena to treat the neck wound she'd covered up with mud.

" Very wise choice my queen! using mud for your wound" He praises, cracking the dried up soil on her neck so he could treat her wound.

Hyena corrects him " I'm.. not a queen anymore. At least not here. You don't have to address me as such."

Dayla|Mangroves

She grumbles and argues aloud with a pissed of Salem as she walks along the riverbank- in search of some fresh water to help clean her graves.

" You're such a fucking baby. You know that?" She hisses. Salem grumbles- trying to lash at her throat with his paws. But to no avail.

" You sealed me for like- a day! How am I supposed to feel!?" He snarls- eyes narrowed.

" You're a ghost Salem! You don't need to be with me every second! Besides, Going back into the spirit realm helps your form stay clear. And-"

She pauses her thoughts- spying the lion from earlier with a pleasant smile.

" Eh? Who's the twig?" Salem remarks snarkily, looking at Sage with a pout.

" A friend" She answers- making Salem gasp in dramatics.

" YOU GOT ANOTHER FRIEND!? But I'm supposed to be your only OOOOONE!" He whines.

Dayla resists the urge to roll her eyes before taking a spot next to Sage to collect some water.

" Hello again stranger." She greets to him with a warm smile

"Well, I'm glad to have the help. There were a lot injured in that fight..."

He smiles at the sight of her, his ears wiggling "Oh, it's you! Hi!" He hops into one of the trees, trotting across the water using one of the branches and landing next to her "You're a sight for sore eyes."

He smiles and happily trots along with her to the shore- purring at the feeling of the warm sand beneath his toes. He looks into the crashing shore line- before turning his head towards Okapi.

" Well... where do we start then? Teach?" He jokes- cracking his neck a bit.

Domino|Sunbaked

" Help you? HAH! Rich. Listen, I think you forget who came to this pride’s side when things got tough. You're not the healer here anymore." He reminds snidely.

Hyena growls- standing to her paws.

" Tch. Don't talk to him like that. You forget your place." She hisses. Domino laughs- eye wide as he repeats her earlier words.

" You forget where you stand! You aren't queen anymore.. are you?" He asks with a smirk- making Hyena furrow her brow.

" As for you." He turns to Talus. " I'm more than happy to let you be another nurse alongside Bongo" He motions over to a small dwarf lion, who was sorting herbs and tools, sheepishly looking up at the group and waving meekly before returning his focus to the task at hand.

" I think it's only fair. Since you abandoned this pride in favor of yourself. Did you not?" He asks smugly- finishing up Hyena's wound with a light pat.

Dayla|Mangroove

" I am? Well, isn't that nice." She chuckles- filling up a large pouch with water as she speaks. " I suppose I will hold true to my word then. I'm Dayla. The grave tender for Sleekwater. I watch over our dead." She introduces herself- not looking at him.

She ties up the pouch with some banana leaf strips before turning to look at him- her eyes hidden slightly behind her veil.

"Ok, first, you aren't catching shit in the ocean. Too much water. And too salty, bleh." She pulls a funny face "Look for smaller ponds and bogs, they're easier to grab from there!"

Talus|Domino

He doesn't have the energy for this right now.

"Judge me as you like. I need to tend to my patients." He limps past him to check on Angus, replacing the herbs keeping infection out of his wounds.

Sage|Dayla

"Dayla" He purrs out her name as he meets her gaze, "Lovely. I know we met before, but in the interest of manners, I'm Sage." He puffs out his chest "So, grave tender? What does that entail?"

Domino|Sunbaked

He smiles at him- padding over to Angus as well to inspect him. He hums- his eyes looking over the stitch work with judgment.

" Rather sloppy work. Oh healer." He teases- going to the side to grab a spool of something.

" Your stitches are made of such.. barbaric materials! " He scoffs. " That's why I make my own. These are fine. Sure. But far too easy to break. " He remarks- setting dowl the spool and what seemed to be a small sharp stone.

He cuts a small slash into the front of the stitchwork, closing the new gap with his own stitches and getting rid of the old ones slowly and gingerly.

" Bongo- grab me some Imphepho poultice will you?" He instructs over to the male- who nods and shuffles to the side to get the paste.

" As for you" He looks to Talus again- peering down at his leg. " You're in no condition to work on these lions anyhow. If anything I should be treating you next!" He jokes- mostly to himself.

Angel|Sleekwater

" Right.. Ponds.." He murmurs- stalking a bit into the forest and finding a small shallow one not too far away. Once they reach it- he looks to Okapi for more instructions.

Dayla|Mangrove

She opens the pouch of water again- dipping a paw in to test the temperature. She nods to herself before crushing up herbs and dripping oils into the pouch as she explains.

" We pride lions bury our dead. And mark where they lay with a tombstone. I make sure those tombstones and the general area are clean. " She hums, now shaking up the water pouch.

" I also organize funerals. And can help spirits reach the afterlife if they are lost. As I can speak with them" She informs calmly- as if that wasn't an odd skill to have on hand.

"I heal guided by the teachings of Afyasi." He frowns "Who guides your healing, Domino?"

She whispers "Now we have to keep quiet. Fish like to hang out under leaves and branches and such, that sort of thing. Look for any ripples in the water." She crouches with him, looking out at the water.

Sage|Dayla

"Oh right, you mentioned that last time. I didn't know any lions could speak to spirits." He follows her, enamored and fascinated "Sounds like you have a really important job. What's it like? Talking to spirits?"

Petra | Cave

She sighed, her eyes slowly shutting- having to pinch herself awake. ‘ When will the war finally end? ,’ she thought to herself, although the war had only been going on for a short period, it had felt like decades to Petra. Decades of violence, blood, killing. It had been fun fighting, when she wanted to fight, but now it was never ending, somehow becoming a part of her routine.

It was difficult getting used to, but she grew to be comfortable with it. Staying awake all day and night, eating whatever Leto had given her so long ago- a few foods beginning to rot. A few days into the war she had devised a plan, cleaning up a few rotten carcasses to leave outside of her cave, attacking whatever lion was unfortunate enough to stumble upon the carcass. Then, taking everything she could find off of them- leaving whatever she didn’t need. So far, she had a long, twisting bone, like a weapon, having been apart of some lion’s warrior decor. He died more quickly then others- shame they sent him off to war so young, Petra thinks. She threw the bone to the side, sorting out everything she had found over the past days.

A bone, some food, and a few pelts- along with some string she hoped would come in handy for later, perhaps to be used in another one of her traps. She hears the bone make a small noise as it hits the ground, looking over to see what it had hit. It had been a small rock, it’s edges sharp, nicking Petra as she tried to brush it away- hissing as blood began to trickle out of her wounds. She quickly picked the bone back up- marching her way back inside of her den, waiting for the next unlucky visitor who would come her way.

Harbinger | SUnbaked, Healer Den | Talus, Domino. Lashpaw, Hyena

He's frozen for a minute, staring at the primal who had made his life a living hell. His body covered in scars from Lash, and now his nightmare is laying weakly in a nest needing to be tended to by his mate. But then words start coming through the incessent buzzing that had filled his head and he looks over at the other lion. A newcomer, picking on his mate. He snarls as he shoves Domino to the side with ease. Despite being small for a Smilus, he is still larger than your average lion. He doesn't speak, knowing that his stutter would ruin what little intimidation he held. Instead, he uses his large head to push and shove Domino away from Talus and towards Lashpaw. His shaking increasing with every step closer.

She was pacing back and forth, gnawing on her tail tip whenever she sat down and worrying through the sandy ground. She was a wreck.


Mudstone | Mangroves

She dove beneath the murky waters, swimming out towards the ocean in an attempt to clear her head. She hoped she wouldn't cross any of her family members as she needed time to think without generations of trauma being thrown onto her.

She tossed and turned in a fitful sleep. Much like Zuko after he did a good deed.
