This is (LOOSELY) based off of my adoption thread located here! This will be edited lots before I am satisfied with it, but ya know! This is where the RP will happen, I request that we try to keep OOC chat in the OOC forum, but I won't enforce it too hardcore. Some Rules: - All 18+ actions are to be fade to black - nothing involving minors and adults - Please put a warning before any gore, mutilation, or descriptive harm (self or otherwise) - Do not have a response that describes how someone else's character reacts UNLESS this has been previously okay'ed by the original player Each pride will be listed with a link to their respective page in the R&T Prides Forum. It is up to the creator of said pride to update it as people join! However, if they are anything like me, they may need occasionally reminders lol. But don't be pushy!! I will try to update this ASAP as people join and switch up their roles as well!! As a reminder, I would love people joining my pride just remember that the lion/lioness either HAS to have a mutation or fake it somehow to be allowed in the pride. He lives out near the Oasis that is unclaimable by any prides. That is monkey only territory. Dayla|Mangrove She thinks about his question for a moment- her eyes shifting to Salem- who was currently above sage, trying to maul him and getting nowhere. She sighs before answering. " It can be.. tiring." She states through a small chuckle. Angel|Mangrove He nods- lowering his form to watch the water. The moment he saw a ripple he lunged forward- like he would with any other prey, and promptly fell in. He gasped as he broke the waters surface and shuffled out onto dry land with a pant. He shakes his back legs one at a time, his mane covering his sight and pelt now soaked in water. " Well. That didn't work" He states with a sigh. 0 players like this post! We’ll try again. Watch this.” She wades in, standing still. She waits for a larger ripple and the shadow of the fish to appear before she strikes with both her teeth and claws. She comes up with a catfish, dropping it at his paws. “See, the key is to wait until you actually see the fish. The ripples just tell you where to look. And I don’t know why but sometimes they aren’t quite where you think they are. Angel|Sleekwater He shakes himself off. Nodding at the lioness's words. " Right. Wait.." He murmurs to himself- waiting as she instructed, when he spots a small minnow- he manages to scoop it up into his maw. Despite it slapping him with its small wriggling and wet tail a few times, he manages to kill it and let it fall to the ground. He huffs- feeling a mixture of pride and embarrassment. " Aheh. Maybe I'll let you all do the fishing for now.." He remarks with a laugh- looking at his puny catch. Dayla|Sleekwater She smiles and chuffs to him. " Having a family must be fun in its own ways I'm sure. I love everybody in the pride like family- but I never really knew my family.. aside from my sister." She remarks bittersweetly- quickly changing the topic. " Anyhow. You wanna come wash tombs with me? I could use an extra set of paws." She invites with a hum- her tail curling upwards behind her. Domino|Sunbaked He unrolls a hide- inside of which are an assortment of tools that seem to be handcrafted by the lion. He hums- taking out what he needs and setting to work. He speaks to Talus briefly. " I'm going to get started on this one. But since we're.. partners now- I'll ask for your opinion." He remarks- stepping aside for the healer to see lashpaws mangled leg. " Clearly it's not salvageable. But just to make sure you don't have any other methods. Would you say it's a good call?" He speaks calmly- wrapping a cloth around his muzzle and washing his paws in some water and herbs. Hyena|Sunbaked The miss had begun helping the other guards bury what was left of the lionesses killed before Coy and her set off. Letting them be put to rest. Other guards were clearing the pride of rot and filth- and clearing out the king's den so it could be used for another purpose. Or to be empty and ready if a new ruler were to step into power. Hyena grunts- burying the last lioness and dusting off her paws. She looked around to Sunbaked and smiled. It looked so much better already. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Despite being so cruel earlier- he seems genuinely interested in what Talus may have to offer when it comes to healing. He grabs another cloth for Talus to wrap round his head if he wishes, starting to position Lash's leg in a way that was more accessible for them to operate on. " Bongo- dream root please. Two chips." He instructs the nurse- who nods, shuffling towards the back to snap off two bits of dream root for the patient. Dayla|Sleekwater She rolls her eyes with a smile. Leading the way to the pride. " I think you'll find this fun. It's rather relaxing in a way. To scrape the moss and muck from the tomb stones and make them shiny again." She chirps- soon arriving at the patch of land that was dotted with graves. She takes the water pouch and pours it into a bucket made of wood- grabbing two pieces of hard bark and some soft hide. She hands one of each to Sage and leads him to the first grave. " This is timba. He was a snag for about a year or so before he was pelted. He was a gem. " She explains. She always liked telling their stories. Since they were no longer able to. She begins to scrape off some old moss that had started to grow- leaving the other side dirty for Sage to attempt at. Angel|Sleekwater He smiles coyly. " Thanks, it's kinda cool that I caught one I guess.. even if it is just an appetizer. So to speak." He jokes- holding up the meek thing between his claws. " Eh. It's good cub food I suppose. Speaking of cubs- did you hear about Haven and Hel? They're expecting two soon! They'll be the first generation of Sleekwater lions born here!" She smiles "I love cubs. Such sweet little things. Those two are so lucky." She looks over "And don't put yourself down! Arguably, catching a smaller fish is harder than a big one so...guess you're really good!" Talus|Domino He nods, covering his muzzle "While you're at it, please grab some Buchu and Nut Grass. Domino|Sunbaked He nods. " Not a bad idea doctor!" He jokes lightly- taking the needed herbs from bongo and handing what Talus had requested to him. Before slipping two chunks of dream root into lashpaws mouth. " Right. Now. " He remarks- pulling out a long sharp stone. He looks at Talus and smiles under his mask. " Ah. Did you want to do the honors or shall I? " He remarks, offering the tool to Talus. Dayla|Sleekwater She hums- cleaning as she speaks. " Well. We all come from an old pride called lushpelt. They favored special pelts above all else. But if you had a mutation, a plain pelt, or little fertility- you'd be deemed a snag. " She explains- starting to weed around the grave’s area. " All of us.. well except for a few. Were snags. We were fodder. Servants, and free labor. We helped do all the dirty work that the pure pelts didn't want to do. And when they were done with us- they'd kill us. And then skin us for our pelts. Then they'd toss their skinless bodies down to our level. Which was hidden away from the rest of the pride." She grunts a bit- stretching her back upwards once she'd finished her side. " So. Yeah. We kept most of the bodies. And brought them here. Including Timba'' She remarks casually- not thinking much of it. Angel|Sleekwater He chuckles. " Well never the less. I think I'll only fish if I have to." He remarks- padding back into camp- throwing his catch on top of the hoard. He hums- thinking. " You know- I've heard of those.. what were they.. instant birth feathers?? Monarch's wing She smirked as her paws touched the cool grass. She kept her pale eyes peeled for flashes of Silver. THERE! she leapt onto the lion with a giggle, but was met with panicked roars. "MOM!" Wayward exploded from the brush with a snarl, her claws curled cruelly into Monarch's flesh. Monarch let out a howl of pain as Wayward hooked her skin and drug her closer, sinking her teeth in her soft flesh. "Wayward! it's me! It's Monarch's wing!!" I...damn, I'm glad you're all out of there. I've heard horror stories of prides like that but I never imagined..." He shudders at the thought, scrubbing his side with renewed vigor. He opens his mouth to speak- before flinching at the sound of a lioness wailing. He darts in the direction of the sound- seeing wayward's maw covered in blood, and a stranger. He growls- pelt rising. " Wayward! Are you alright??" He asks over to her- clearly on guard of this new person. He looses his tense stance when he realises that they're embracing. Feeling his face flush a bit at his reaction. Domino|Sunbaked *warning surgery* " Oh? You've been doing this with your claws?? Well don't worry- this is far easier. And cleaner. " He remarks with a hum- shifting the mangled part of the leg forward- and cutting an inch above it. The stone slices through the skin fairly easily and cleanly. Once the leg is detached. He wraps the limb in hide and hands it to bongo- who promptly waddles out of the cave to dispose of it. He makes sure the hip bone is secured and unfractured before starting to sew up the wound swiftly. He dips his paw into some paste made of some soothing herbs and paints it over the seam. Then finishes by wrapping the amputated leg in some bandages. He wipes his brow. " That should do it. " He remarks proudly. He looks back to Talus and hums- moving to wash the blood from his paws. " Say- since the surgery is done.. Perhaps you'd like to look after him while he recovers? Seems you're skilled in the manner of bedside care. " He remarks- looking at the herbs that he requested. " Perhaps we could open this den up a bit. Add a bigger area for patients who need rest" He suggests- starting to wash his mask in a small pool of clean water. Dayla|Sleekwater She nods. " I am too. You can't really un-see what you've seen there." She mumbles- thinking to her sister. She groans a bit- holding her head as Salem begins to rant to her. " Come on! Let's go do something else! This dude is boring! Maybe theres a wandering spirit around here!! " He rambles- trying to urge her somewhere else. 0 players like this post! Like? |
