Imagine for a moment: your favorite orchid girl is finally in heat during wet season! Excited to try for Rime, you kit her out with a black stallion, a lion meat for buffed mutation chances, and a buffalo scrotum to guarantee 3 cubs. You pick out the perfect stud and send your request, making sure to mention that you need her bred during the daytime. But unfortunately this stud either doesn’t read your message or simply forgets and breeds your girl during the night, leaving you with 0 chance for Rime cubs and a wasted heat.

The fact that breeders have to rely on the studs to have a successful breeding & ensure their hard work doesn’t go to waste is an unfair mechanic. Consider a scenario in which a lioness is on her last day of heat (as her owner needed to wait until wet season to breed her) and when the stud receives her breeding request, the stud’s player is about to go to bed. Rather than letting the other player know they’re heading off for the night and that they should find another stud to breed the lioness at the correct time, the stud’s player could just quickly click once to breed the lion while they’re online and therefore receive the breeding fees. However, this ruins the lion’s heat and wasting whatever time and effort the other player put into it. In this scenario, the stud has FINANCIAL INCENTIVE to destroy the plans of the player requesting to stud.

We should not be relying on the effort and goodwill of strangers to correctly put our breeding plans into action.

In order to solve this problem, I suggest implementing a feature that would restrict the stud’s ability to breed to either day or night. This could be a button pressed while preparing to send the stud request, in the same menu where you’d add a buffalo scrotum or a great tit, or even an item bought in the monkey business that, when activated, prevents a lioness from being bred during either the day or the night (similar to how mukombero works!)

Speaking as both a combo breeder and a combo factor stud, I feel like this is a huge problem. But I think the solution is pretty easy.

What if the situations that the stud request were sent under also applied? Like a 'stopping time' effect, where you send the request during the day during wet season, and then even if they took a while to get to it, it would still count as being wet/day?

Not sure about the coding about this, but it would remove any potential mess ups and probably wouldn't be a big deal for either the requester or the stud.

Support!

Also, a suggestion?

Maybe a third button for an anytime (Day/Night), any season (Wet/Dry) breeding. For the non-requirement breedings.

This would be a godsend. I actually avoid making my kings a combo factor base that requires day/night requirements, because I'm the type of forgetful person who would accidentally accept a stud request at the wrong time this is a great fix for each party

Or another suggestion based off this would be to find a way to possibly make the time the stud request is sent count as the time of breeding, allowing a player to send a stud request during their needed time, and allow the stud to request whenever they're available? If it doesn't get accepted/cancelled it'd just get voided out. That'd probably take some code tweaking though, which could be annoying
