Currently for the past two days from what I have been told someone is spamming the nword (hard R) and in all caps in chat, me and a group have been thinking there needs to be censors in chat where it blurs the word right away and also reports to the mod that #00000 tried to say _______ (and of course it wouldn’t be censored for mod. This can be an extremely upsetting thing for some players especially our poc community. And to make sure everyone is comfortable I think chat censors is for the best. |

Hi all, I'm terribly sorry that this happened at all. I would just like to clarify that we do have a censor in place that prevents certain words from being submitted into the chat, and flags up the accounts that attempt to use them. Unfortunately we just can't predict all possible combinations of these words but when they do crop up we continue to add words to the list that we prevent from being typed in. I understand that this can be upsetting and I am sorry that the variations are able to squeak past our filters, but please rest assured that these hostile accounts are instantly banned and the variations are immediately added to the list to prevent them being used again. - Abbey 0 players like this post! I feel like there should just be a filter. Words like the hard R, faggot (I can reclaim don't cancel me.), and other words like that should be censored. But overall I believe that slurring isn't that bad. If it's not directed to others then you should be fine. Like saying "Holy shit" and whatnot.. (English isn't my first language so I may be confusing slurs and cussing.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

i had multiple people dm me to tell me i was wrong, maybe i didn't explain myself well. i'm quite certain they used a different 'font'. as in, those special characters, which is the only way they could have avoided the chat filter. like this as an example: 𝖧𝖮𝖳𝖣𝖮𝖦 and HOTDOG. looks pretty much the same, but the first "hotdog" is using special characters, which probably can bypass the filter system. either that or they used a mix of both normal and special characters. i don't need to see screenshots of the messages. there IS a filter system already in place, which prevents any message with slurs in it from being sent in the first place. why blur it out? just prevent it from being sent entirely. the current filter system is just not enough to also include whatever creative methods are being used to bypass the filters. it's not like there's totally zero filters on the chat. there ARE already chat censors. mods are doing the best they can, i'm sorry but this suggestion doesnt really make sense to me 0 players like this post! Like? |
