I’ve seen a lot of these types of posts suggesting ways to make the July event better and thought that I might as well add my own ideas into the mix.

So first off, here’s my stance of the event explore as a whole:
The exploring is ‘meh.’ The battling is ‘bleh.’ The Wolvden-y aspects is ‘.’

Alright, let me address the issues that I find one at a time!

Number one- Exploring. It’s pretty much regular explore with some galactic art. Now that the MS is back to 5, I don’t think the whole ‘infinite shards’ thing will be a problem. However, it’s pretty repetitive and boring- there are basically 4 classes of ‘events’- Battle Encounters, Axion Core Encounters, Meteorite Shard Encounters, and Special Item Encounters (for things like gems, space rocks, etc) with most of them (at least from my experience) being the first 3. This is so incredibly boring… You’re sitting there clicking away having deja vu every 30 seconds because there’s nothing special. It gives off Wolvden Lunar Event vibes with less content which I don’t think is amazing- Wolvden and Lioden are two very different games and the fact that this event basically is like a copy-paste-with-dragons-and-space of their event doesn’t fit in with what Lioden is- it’s something that can be played non-competitively with plenty of opportunities to get everything you want. At this rate you’re ranging from wasting away in explore trying in vain to get meteorite shards or absolutely sweating trying to spend it all in Celestial Explore.

Number Two- Battling. The changes made by staff did make a slight difference in the almighty winged space lizard battles but… eh. You’ll probably make better use of your time and become less agitated just outright spamming that pawprint and only stopping on the weak ‘thin-skinned’ or ‘cowardly’ enemies and Axion Core encounters. The battles, if not still very hard, are exasperatingly long and boooooooring. Heavily RNG based, you’re either having a sweet time kicking ass and swimming in currency or you’re raging as you get stunlocked 5 times in a row.

Alrighty, now for the actual suggestions (that took a looking time sorry)

1) Make Meteorite Shards more accessible in regular explore, tone it down in Celestial explore. Also make it work like energy- even if you only have 1~4 Meteorite Shards you can take one final step. This will help the whole sometimes-I-legit-cannot-explore-there-and-sometimes-I-end-up-doubling-my-shards-there business.

2) More special encounters to get things like gems, etc! This will help the explore thing seem not-so-boring. You’ve got a whole new zone to work with! Go ahead and play with it! Hell, even put things like exclusive dragon quests you can get similar to the lioness one in explore (but shorter of course). Rare celestial lioness encounters, more encounters where you have choices, etc- anything for more content!

3a) If enemies have a strong bite attack, pounding ability, etc, give them another trait to balance it off like Cowardly, Small, or Thin Skin. This will give you an advantage. Also won’t say no to further ‘mortalizing’ the dragons either!

3b) Alternatively, get rid of the whole pound attack bite attack strangle thing altogether and replace it all with just straight up acting like a bull (charges if you rest). This will make these pesky dragons easier to deal with albeit still kinda challenging.
Thank you, staff, for making these battles easier!

4) Boss gives bigger rewards, appears less frequently (maybe at, say, get 3-5 IN A ROW and it appears, if you win it gives you 7~8 Axion Cores). The bosses are tough(er) and thus should be treated as something rare and special with big rewards. EDIT: if you don’t want to face the boss add an ignore button to skip them entirely so you don’t have to engage with them at all!


5) New suggestion- METEORITE SHARD-AXION CORE EXCHANGE! Do it at a slightly higher rate- 15 ish MS per Axion Core? But some people just won’t want to explore and this should be something that helps so they don’t end up with a ton of dead currency on their account they can’t use or transfer.

Hoo boy that was a long post. In short I just want the event to have more excitement lol please tell me what you think. If you don’t support tell me why thanks! I don’t really think anything will be implemented this year (due to the amount of flip flopping that has already happened) but wishful thinking heh

Im for removing the bosses completely. 9/10 times I lose to them. 3AC is not incentive enough to battle them, I gain more from killing 3 smaller dragons or finding them in explore. Bosses are over tuned anyhow and not worth the time. Getting 3 hit is not fun.

The pound attack was listed in the poll against the special attacks. It lost by only 71 votes, both questions being well over 1000 votes. Let that sink in. Thats a very close margin. Pound needs to go.

RNG in fights is a nightmare. Spending 30 seconds on a dodgy snake is boring.

@Shade I see what you mean! RNG seems particularly bad for this event and the bosses aren’t exactly worth anyone’s time at the moment. Being able to skip them by just clicking away with an ignore might also be a good idea!
