📦 Shoeboxes 📦

Shoeboxes are where each variation of The Shoebox Heap's worlds are located. They are where Capsule Critter life begins, takes place, and ends. If you are looking to adopt a friend, you can try your luck in a "Rummage". A rummage allows you to search for a capsule which can contain Items or Critters. Don't worry, your first Rummage will always guarantee a Capsule Critter. After that, it's a gamble!

Once you have a Capsule Critter in your party, Rummage instead acts as an "Explore". You can still obtain Items or Critters, but a third option which enhances or modifies your Critters in some way is also possible.

Different Shoeboxes may contain very different things and Critters. Additional Shoebox types can be unlocked by community goals being met, or during special occasions. Be sure to pay attention to any community goals posted! You can help this thread unlock more types of items and capsule critters by contributing to meeting the goal!

Note: Every user starts with only 5 inventory slots. You must find items or ways to craft said items to increase your inventory slots. Interacting with NPC's may sometimes nail you one of these items as well. If you find an item and have no room for it, you can choose to switch it out with one of your items, or, leave it. If you leave the item, there is a possibility that someone's next Explore Daily Action will pick it up, so choose wisely!

Rummaging can only occur once per Lioden rollover for each user.

⚪ Open Capsules ⚪

Occassionally, capsules are found opened and damaged. The Capsule Critters inside may be sold, raffled, or auctioned off so they they may find a new home! Typically, Capsule Critters found in this method are very unique, and will often follow a theme, have special traits, or other fun additives. When these pre-made capsules are purchased, their stats, gender, and other various traits will then be rolled for.

Make sure to check back each week. You never know when another batch of Capsule Critters will be in need of re-homing!

🚩Daily Actions🚩

Each day ( Lioden Rollover ), a user is able to complete 1 of each daily actions. Daily Actions do not count towards Rummages, but be wary, Daily Actions can result in both rewards and risks.

Note: Users who breed their capsule critters will go on an "Action Cooldown" the day after breeding. Please be aware of this! You'll be able to perform an action again after one Lioden Rollover is skipped.

Interactions are essential for making "Rare Discoveries" which help you and the community find new recipes or results when using various items in various ways, or even discovering new items, capsule critters, etc.

When new NPC's become available, they will be announced as a new post in this thread. NPC's that are always available will be seen in this thread's main information posts.

To perform an interaction, comment with the following form:
I wish to interact with ( NPC or item of your choice) with ( an active capsule critter of your choice )'s assistance.

You may choose an active Capsule Critter of your own and explore 1 Shoebox. Exploring can result in almost nothing. If you wish to expedite your item or Capsule Critter inventory gain, you have the option for a paid explore, which works similar to Rummage. Exploring in unique shoeboxes will have a chance to result in items or capsules with that box's aesthetic!

A wandering NPC may sometimes be found on explore sessions!

To perform an explore, comment with the following form:
I wish to send (your chosen active capsule critter) to explore for ( price ) at the (available Shoebox of your choice).

You may choose an active Capsule Critter to attempt to combine 2 or more items you own. Combinations will often result in failure. Sometimes you might even break an item or lose it. There are a few ways to improve your chances of a combination success! See Hint-Hint's Hub for slightly more detailed information about this.

A wandering NPC might appear to boost the community's Combine successes...Keep your eyes out for them!
