Battle Guide - July Celestial Event This is what worked for me personally, and I've seen the most success in the event explore with this! I have accumulated around 250 Axion Cores so far. Feel free to skip 'General' if you just want the guide on different opponents!
General For context, average dmg for where my stats are is 10-15dmg.
I usually always start attacks with 'Charge'. This has the highest success rate compared to 'Trample' and 'Pounce'. I've also found that it consistently does between 15 to 18dmg (for me, at least. I am a lower level with a starter male, so maybe other people's damage is different). NOTE: TRAMPLE IS INEFFECTIVE IN CELESTIAL EXPLORE. IT WILL NEVER WORK - Strangle also seems to be pretty ineffective unless against Drakelings.
Another thing I have found is for most battles, I find myself consistently using 'Pound' the most, and I have not run into any opponents who are adverse to this attack. However, the damage definitely is less consistent, and I am hitting anywhere from 8-18dmg.
I always 'Grab' my opponents immediately, however on Serpents/Snakes it somtimes takes a few times.
Serpents/Snakes: Guide For serpents, I always start with 'Charge' but if I'm feeling fancy I sometimes use 'Pounce'. If I can pounce and grab the opponent at the same time, I count that as a head start of sorts, as I can attack sooner. However, it has less success rate than 'Charge', which has had 100% success for me so far.
I will note that using 'Charge' on snakes only does between 6-10dmg for me.
Once the fight begins, I'd say about 60% of my attacks miss, and that goes for the snakes too. These battles probably take the longest out of all of them, as both you and your opponent will consistently miss for the majority, and you just have to ride it out and hope that you attack more than the snake can. With snakes, I try to stick to a pattern. I click 'Pound' twice, then 'Claw' twice, and every once in a while I alternate in 'Kick'. I don't really use strangle on these guys as it makes it easier to break out of my grab, and it's less successful. I have had about a 60% success rate fighting them.
Serpents/Snakes include: Comet Serpent, Interstellar Snake, Prismatic Serpent, Radioactive Serpent, Radioactive Snake, Stellar Serpent. Wyverns: Guide
After I 'Charge', I always go straight for 'Claw' and just spam that until I win. Wyverns have thin skin, and thus have a weakness for that attack. My attacks consistently do 20-40dmg when using 'Claw. These battles usually only take 3-5 clicks to win, and are thus my favorite. I have had a 100% success rate fighting them.
Wyverns include: Comet Wyvern, Interstellar Wyvern, Prismatic Wyvern, Pulsar Wyvern. Drakelings: Guide I start with 'Charge' then alternate between 'Pound' and 'Claw', however I like to use 'Claw' more often and I think it tends to do a little more dmg. I have had a 100% success rate fighting them.
Drakelings include: Cluster Drakeling, Neutron Drakeling, Stellar Drakeling. Drakes: Guide I start with 'Charge', then like the Drakelings, I alternate between 'Pound' and 'Claw', but tend to click 'Pound' more often, as I think it just does a little more dmg, and I when it stuns them you can end the battle faster more often than not. I have had about a 95% success rate fighting them.
Drakes include: Gamma Drake, Interstellar Drake, Pulsar Drake, Starburst Drake, Stellar Drake. Dustling/Burstlings: Guide After I use 'Charge', I just spam 'Pound' the rest of the battle. I have found that 'Strangle' and 'Pounce' do not work on either of these very effectively or do much damage. I have had about a 95% success rate fighting them.
Dustling/Burstlings include: Cluster Dustling, Gamma Burstling, Magnetar Burstling, Neutron Burstling, Solar Dustling, Starburst Dustling. Anything dust shaped. Windssrahs: Guide I start with 'Charge' as usual, and then spam 'Pound'. These ones are a literal trickier in my opinion, and occasionally have a powerful bite that does between 15-25dmg (usually happens 2-3 times per battle?) which can lead to a loss even if it looks like you're winning. That's why I think it's best to stun them as often as you can and try to prevent those attacks. If anyone has any tips I would love to update this and have a better answer. I have had about a 75% success rate fighting them.
Windssrah's include: Pulsar Windssrah, Starburst Windssrah, Stellar Windssrah. Wyrms: Guide I start with 'Charge', but I've noticed it tends to do a little less damage on these big guys; 'Pounce' has had no success for me when fighting them. During the battle, I just spam 'Pound and hope for the best, and usually it does a pretty good job, especially since these things have a pretty weak attack. Battles can sometimes take a little longer, but not as long as serpents/snakes take. Both 'Claw' and 'Kick' have had low success rates for me and tend to do little to no damage ('Claw' does like no dmg and 'Kick' does good dmg but has a lower chance of landing, so it's easier to just use 'Pound'). 'Strangle' also hasn't worked. I have had a 100% success rate fighting them.
Wyrms include: Pulsar Wyrm, Stellar Wyrm. They appear often. Beasts/Beings: Guide I haven't stumbled across either of these too often, but they do appear every once in a while. For Starburst Beings, I follow the same attack pattern that I do for Dustlings and Burstlings. For Gamma Ray Beings and Gamma Ray Beasts, I follow the same attack pattern that I do with Drakes. This has worked pretty well for me, but definitely not one of my stronger fighting categories, lmao. I have had about a 80% success rate for them. Boss Battles: Guide For all boss battles I follow the same routine, but feel free to let me know if you've done something different that works better- I am happy to update! I start off with 'Charge'. 'Claw' is completely ineffective, and I do not recommend using 'Pounce' or 'Strangle either. I pretty much just spam 'Pound' and occasionally click 'Kick' and then just hope for the best. You will know you are beginning a boss fight when the text says "'name' now guards this passage" rather than "'name' is approaching." I have had about a 85% success rate in these battles.
Bosses include: Galactic Drakontos, Interstellar Drakontos, Prismatic Dragon, Prismatic Drakaiva, Pulsar Dragon, Solar Drakaiva, Starburst Dragon, Stellar Drakaiva. Conclusion I hope this helped! When I first started celestial explore, I was like 2 days into playing Lioden and I had low success rates in celestial explore. None of this information is official, this is just from my experience. If you have any suggestions or things that have worked for you, comment below, I am more than happy to update my guide, and will respond to any questions, suggestions and comments. I've never made a guide before, so if there is anything I could do better, I am open to criticism.
CREDITS: None of the images are mine (my images wouldn't upload for some reason). Images are from https://www.lioden.wiki/july ! All information is my own and NOT OFFICIAL, just what I have experienced. I'm pretty sure there are some tips in the Wiki I linked, but I didn't feel like reading it and couldn't find a battle guide when I looked, so if you want anything above what my guide mentioned, you could probably check there?
Thank you for reading! (if anyone did)
