Yeah, it would be so cool, like either you save the mom and get a lioness (maybe a special base?) Or you can save the sub and have them (could also have a special base or something) something special about em but it's a rare chance or something

Like maybe you can attempt to save one or the other but it's only a small chance you can get the Lioness or the cub, sometimes they die sometimes you get one

I agree as well, i wish you could save either one or both of them. I do like the idea of it costing a bit more energy but having some cool base or marking or something like that. Even if it doesn't though i would feel better if i could save the cub or it's mom, the interaction is kind of saddening.

That's.... completely different. They serve a purpose.
The may studs, wenet/cousin, and event ncls and groupies all go towards releasing new bases and markings, marking slots, G1 lines, and sometimes introducing new mutations. And make sense to the themes and storylines in the event.
Like I said there's already enough ways and opportunities to get free lions and cubs, why add more lol.

I think it would be a good idea to be able to save the cub and have it have a neat pelt color or marking. Though i think it should be adjusted to were:

- the encounter is rare-ish to find.
- the 'take in' option does not always result in a saved cub.
- it takes a certain amount of energy and thirst to attempt to save a cub.

This should even it out and fit with the theme of the event.

This is just my opinion though.

The march event is more gruesome than this single encounter. Just wait for that. If the encounter bothers you that much, it can be blocked: https://www.lioden.wiki/blocking-images

They shouldn't have those traits as they aren't part of the event. At most you'd end up with an encounter with a rare chance at getting a potato ncl. Perhaps one of the ncl exclusive bases? They really aren't that special.
There's a reason as to why you can't pick up cubs in explore. Do i know that reason? No. But it's been talked about since I joined the site and has been shot down to this day.
Like I said, I just don't see why it would be a necessary thing to add.
