A few months ago, a massive explosion happened in downtown Manhattan, causing immense damage and uncountable casualties. Those who didn’t die in the blast either stood at risk of getting sick from the radiation, or they started developing powers and superhuman abilities. As they learn to control their new powers, they have to make a choice – do they want to help the people struggling or are they only looking out for themselves?

Set in the world of New York City, a major catastrophe has just unfolded. The characters are found in a post-apocalyptic environment where majority of the inhabitants have been made to live in misery. The inhabitants are running low on supplies and kept separate from the rest of the world due to a quarantine applied to the burrow to keep the spreading plague from reaching the rest of the US. Scared, sick and exhausted civilians are easy prey for the criminals that banded together within the city after the crisis, and without help they will likely perish. Due to the adamant amount of criminal activity, most of the law enforcement have decided to flee, leaving the civilians to fend for themselves.

Those who develop powers are being rounded up by a newly founded government group and placed in a specialized prison where they are tortured, experimented upon and treated like animals. The facility is placed on a small island off the tip of Manhattan, where the inmates who have been there the longest are slowly working on a mass breakout.

RULES:

1) Be respectful of EVERYONE. This is a joint venture.
2) No out-of-character fighting, please.
3) Cursing should be kept to a minimum. Anything you wouldn’t say to your pre-school sibling or grandma is out.
4) Try to Roleplay with different people. This is how we make new friends and increase the server's activity.
5) Personal Information is shared at your own risk. If you do not feel comfortable with sharing, you do not have to. We ask if you do share anything, be careful.
6) Try to avoid bringing up controversial or triggering topics here or in the server, please.
7) If you have any concerns or questions feel free to ask a staff member or post it on the Suggestions or Requests channel.
8) Character limit is 1 as of now, as we grow more will be allowed. The exception is pre-teen children accompanying an adult.
9) This Roleplay will feature +18 themes like gore, drugs, alcohol and violence. Explicit topics is not allowed on the server; move it to a private channel or ‘fade to black’. TL;DR if it’s steamier than a Disney movie it does not belong in this server.
10) Do not kill, injure or maim other people’s characters without their consent. At the same time, don’t make your character invincible, they’re only humans.

In this discord based group-RP you can create your own character, either a human or someone with abilities; the ability is entirely up to you, but please be reasonable. The powers are divided into colored tiers, and each mutant is sorted into cell blocks at the prison according to their assigned color.
