Depends what you want to go for in the game, if anything :) Some people like muties, so they start a project using mutation breeding items, like cotton root barks or lion meat. Others enjoy a specific special base - or multiple - so they mass breed to hopefully get the special base(s) to pass. My own project (more or less complete at the moment) was to get a Bandit based king with a decent amount of breed-only markings as well as an Indri marking. The queen I have now is probably my "end-game" unless I get lucky with a breeding and end up getting a cub with more rosettes or more breed-only attributes like eyes and such, while still maintaining the Bandit base and Indri marking. Certain projects require a lot more funding than others. A CRB project costs 1 GB per lioness and then there's an additional 3 day cooldown to breed them, so it also requires patience since they won't be actually having the cubs until 6 days after using the CRBs. Lion meats are more expensive than that, about 4-7 GB per lioness depending on the market. GMO cows give the highest chance of a mutation, but they are 50-70 GB depending on the market so not typically a mass breeding item. Plus there's a 60 SB fee to reveal a possible mutation per cub, which adds up quickly if you have a lot being born. If your goal is to get a bunch of one special base, all you really need is a king with the base and then mass breed from there and hope for the best. It essentially just comes down to the cost of the initial lion itself for a project like that. A bunch of different special bases would probably require sending out stud requests, so the cost varies. Ultimately, you shouldn't force yourself to start a project in case of burnout and frustration (some people breed 1000-2000+ lions with CRBs in the hopes of getting a first gen hybrid with no luck), but there's also no need to rush through a project either! If you only are able to breed 5 CRB lions at a time, for example, it's still some progress - who knows, you might get lucky :) 0 players like this post! Like? |
