Hello, so I was having a conversation in one of my clan servers, and we came on the topic of the wolvden mutations and inbreeding. -double mutations- I feel like wolvden has a better mutation system that lioden. The thought of a wolf having multiple mutations at once excited me! Can lioden have that too? ------------------ Basic info This would be extremely rare to have two at once, maybe as rare as a hybrid or even rarer. But it's just a cool idea. We can kind of imagine how a piebald + patches lion would look like by applying vitiligo at 100% opacity patches lion, but it isnt really the same. If this would get added, the lion would only be able to pass one of the mutations, so if you had a patch/pie lioness and she had two cubs, one could be a patch and one could be a pie, there would be no doubles. ------------------------------------------------------------ How would you obtain a double mutie? This would be really rare, so it could probably happen from random breeding or inbreeding mutations (will explain later in the forum) but all of these chances are really rare. It's also mostly for looks, since it can only pass one mutation. But useful for kings who want a mix of both types of mutations. ------------------------------------ More than just piebald! Of course, this isn't just for piebalds and patches. It could be other mutations too, such as piebald/patch primals, polycaudal primals, polycaudal patch/pies, dwarf pies/patch, DU primals, and much more! -inbreeding mutations- I feel that inbreeding should have some ingame affect. In real life, inbreeding causes mutations and other problems to babies. It doesn't make sense to me why inbreeding has no affect here. ------------------------------------- What about the market? I am very aware that this idea would cause prices to change, clean lions being more valuable and dirty lions being worth much less, since people will breed dirty to get muties. I'm not sure how to fix this, so if it was to get added there must be a way to stop the market from being affected too heavily. --------------------- Make it rare To stop people from randomly popping muties from breeding, inbreeding mutations are only able to happen when a lion is bred to someone currently in their family tree. Breeding a dirty lion to a completely new lion does not work, so you won't randomly have a inbreeding affected cub. --------------------------------------- WhAt ArE tHe ChAnCeS?! This would be rare, and would have a higher chance to birth a lethal than a regular mutie. Unpassable mutations such as polycaudal and primal fangs are more rare than passable. What I'm thinking, 5% chance lethal, 2% chance impassable, 1% chance passable. However, this doesn't mean a 92% chance of nothing, there should be more common inbreeding effects too. ------------------------ Not so lucky? Muties should be the only inbreeding affect, low stats or low fertility could also be some. If an inbreeding lion rolls for a fertility affect, infertile is most common, next VLF, then low. Anything higher isn't a inbreeding effect. I think, 50% chance in total to roll a low fertility, 20% low stats, 35% infertile, 10% VLF, 5% low fert. --------------- In total 5% = lethal 2% = unpassable mut 1% = passable 20% = low stats 35% = infertile 10% = VLF 5% = low fert 22% = nothing (Sorry if this math is wrong) 1% = double mutation w/ common mut 0.5% = double mutation w/ AMP 0.1% = double mutation w/ double AMP 0.05% = double mutation w/hybrid 98.35% = nothing (Double hybrid isn't possible) |
