JANUARY
(Great Hunger)

"Oh no! With prey scarce this season, it looks like a Great Hunger is sweeping the plains of Lioden. Several lions in the area have noticed the benefit of working together, and have begun stockpiling a massive food pit that they plan to share with everyone. Join together, lions, and donate your spare food from your hoard to unlock a special area that will let you reap the benefits! Give and ye' shall receive...
Other animals are suffering too - maybe you could help them die out to have more food to yourself? Defeat Carrion Eaters in explore to unlock a shop and more events in explore as you go on!"

This event is highly focused on exploring.
The explore encounters exclusive to this month can be found in all biomes.
Your lion's karma and level, as well as the biome you explore in, do not matter for this event. In January, the community is working to unlock two separate bars, which reveal three different areas on the site. The more carcasses are donated, the faster the Food Pit is unlocked. The more Carrion Eaters are defeated in Explore, the faster the Carrion Shop is unlocked. The Boneyard is unlocked by the combined bars of the other two areas.

The more poachers are chased off or defeated in Explore, the faster the Black Market will unlock. Chasing off and defeating poachers will earn you Prevent Points, which are automatically counted towards the Black Market's unlock bar.

"It's April and rabbits and hares are breeding like crazy! Looks like we have a fluffy plague on our hands, and we heard that they like to carve weird things in Carved Easter Eggs with their ever-growing teeth. With this April Event, you mighty lions need to catch as many Fluffballs as possible, and collect those Carved Easter Eggs. There are two areas to unlock - one calls for your Bunny Catching skills, and other calls for your egg-finding skills."

The more bunnies and rabbits are slain in Explore, the faster the Bunny Shop will unlock. Slaying bunnies (also known as "fluffballs") will earn you Fluffball Points, which are automatically counted towards the Bunny Shop's unlock bar. The more Easter Eggs are collected, the faster the Egg Den will unlock.

If you do not wish to start the storyline, the earthquakes will remain for you, as the Serpent will not rise.”

Your lion's karma and level, as well as the biome you explore in, do not matter for this event. There are no bars to unlock during this event. Rather, this event is focused on a storyline that unlocks on certain dates. This storyline is foreshadowed by the earthquake explore flavour text encountered during May's event. If you choose to start the June storyline, the earthquakes will stop. If you do not start the storyline, you will continue to encounter the earthquakes, as well as typical year-round explore options.
