This is where I'll be tracking any event information that I deem useful for myself, feel free to use any of the information on here as you please!
Some of the information may be outdated or incorrect- so if you see anything that has been left out or needs to be changed, let me know! (Meteor Showers)


“This month, the sky is sparkling with lights! Fiery rocks are falling from the sky, and you notice stars forming into moving shapes whenever you roar. It seems as though your lands were chosen by an Interstellar being, and the Meteorite Shards are a result of his travels!”

OVERVIEW

This event is highly focused on battling and exploring. The explore encounters exclusive to this month can be found in all biomes as well as within Celestial Explore. Your lion's karma and level, as well as the regular biome you explore in, do not matter for this event. In July, the community is working to unlock three tiers of one bar, which reveal three different areas on the site: the Draco Demiurge Exchange, the Celestial Raffle, and the Celestial Portal. The more Meteorite Shards are collected in Explore and Celestial Explore, the faster the tiers will unlock.

(Drought and Fires)

“A ravaging Sahel Drought disrupts migrations sweeping across Africa, claiming lives of humans, livestock and wildlife. With animals dying, many camps have been set to feed hippos and provide basic sources of water for most needing animals like elephants. Reports on rivers drying up are increasing by the day, as wet seasons never arrive. What will you lions do? Will you rampage local farms and villages, or try to survive on scarce herds and starved corpses? Will you cause a conflict or succumb to plans of nature?”

SEPTEMBER
(Locust Plague)

"The land that had once been scarred by droughts and fires was made new as monsoons rolled across the terrain and ended the dry season with torrential rains and storms. New grass sprouted, trees became thick and heavy with new leaves, flowers blossomed, and new life was spread far and wide... Until a dark cloud descended on the land in a sudden swarm. This was a different kind of storm, one with wings and an insatiable appetite. Desert locust thrived during the wet seasons with a burst of breeding activity, leading to swarms that filled the sky and nearly blotted out the sun entirely. Initially only the human lands were affected, but once the crops and other plants were devoured, the insects began heading towards the land of the lions. Their swarms induced fear into the migrating herds and drove them away in search of food as they devoured the new grasses and leaves on trees. Killing the locust will stop them from devouring the land, bring back the migrating herds, and can help those all around you. There are some choices you can make while exploring that will affect the number of locust for the better, and there are some choices that are entirely selfish. What kind of choices will you make? What kind of lion are you?"

The more locusts we kill in Explore and on player den pages, the faster the Prophet Shop tiers will be unlocked. The first three tiers of the bar unlock items in the Prophet Shop, while the fourth tier releases special NCLs with September event-exclusive markings in Explore.

OCTOBER
(To hell with Rabies)

"The month of horrible nightmares has arrived once again, and this time the October is scary not only because of the night terrors, but also the most terrifying disease is spreading through Lioden lands - Rabies! The animals are noticeable enough - just kill them all and reduce the infectivity, careful as you might get infected too! Beware of exploring at night, though… the dead do not rest."

OVERVIEW

In October, the community is working to unlock four tiers of one bar.
The more rabid NPCs we defeat in Explore, the faster the Blood Beetle Shack and Diabolic Altar will be unlocked. The first three tiers of the bar unlock items in the Blood Beetle Shack, while the fourth tier unlocks a special crafting altar.
During October, your pride leader has a chance to contract rabies whilst battling rabid NPCs! Rabies carries quite a few downsides to it: your leader's energy will not raise above 80%, they cannot eat food in Explore or be fed food from your hoard, and they may infect other players' leaders through PVP. However, your leader's Strength is slightly boosted during NPC battles!

NOVEMBER
(Whispering Ancestors)

"Not only humans believe that ancestors are linked spiritually to the living. Some lions believe they can talk to the spirits of those who passed, becoming shamans. You can gain your Piety for the Ancestors by doing deeds for the lion shamans, and in return you will be granted with spiritual rewards! Your Piety might unlock something special, so respect the spirits and they will provide."

OVERVIEW

You can gain your Piety for the Ancestors by doing deeds for the lion shamans, and in return you will be granted spiritual rewards. You can complete three Shaman Quests per day. Choose your Shaman below wisely. Once you have completed your quest, you should bow to your shaman. If a quest hasn't been completed by rollover, it will be reset.

(Season of Gifting)

"It's the season of giving! Right now on Lioden, you can leave gifts or poop for other players. Leaving one gift or one poop will add towards a global total. Once a global total in one bar is reached, a special area is unlocked! Both areas can be unlocked, and everyone can use them once they are unlocked. Work together and give to get these areas!"

OVERVIEW

In December, the community is working to unlock three tiers of two different bars.
The more gifts that are given to other players, the faster the Guelta will unlock.
The more poops that are left in other players' dens, the faster the Wallowing Pit will unlock. As the Guelta and Wallowing Pit progress and open, they will unlock the Mantis Shop! Then, as the Mantis Shop further unlocks, the lands of Africa will become snowier and snowier—and snuhlions will become available!
