09/19/22 - i am making a discord server! that will probably be where the majority of things are, including listings and info, so when that goes up if you're interested i'd suggest joining the server!

★★INTRODUCTION;★★
one day i'll have a fancy piece of artwork to go here as well as a roleplay-esc introduction from the perspective of my own Dragon, but for now, i'll just tell you about them myself!

Doting Dragons is a new species i'm still developing based around, well, dragons! These dragons are feral, four-legged dragons with fur over their scales in places (thick neck fur to protect their necks; no fur on their tails to make them more lithe and better for swimming!) and medium-sized feathered wings. most Dragons can't use their wings to fly as they're too small relative to their bodies, but some Dragons can have an overgrown wings mutation that allows flight! they have horse-like ears and horns made from their personal gemtype, as well as long dragon snouts with pointed chins. they can appear scary at first look to a human, but as a whole they are very affectionate and gentle!

they can keep cat-like pets, but that's a paragraph for another day (aka when i get that part developed lol).

they also have gem growth around their body, most usually around their ribs, horns, and tail-tips, but in some cases can have more gems, and in even rarer cases can have lethal mutations that cause the gems to pierce their brain or hearts. these mutations are really rare, though, so surely there's nothing to worry about!

they can be tall, short, thin, thick, etc. etc. any body type under the sun. they have no "gender" and can identify as anything you want them to! they reproduce via majic and all have the same body parts so there's no need for sexism, homophobia, or anything stupid like that. they are a very open and accepting community, so long as you're not doing anything against the Dragon Laws, and even if you are, you can bet that they have an a+ judicial system!

each dragon specializes in a different type of love (romantic, platonic, familial, etc.) which is determined usually in their young adult years. once they figure this specialty out, they become a lot more powerful in their majic and can pursue a bunch of different jobs relating to their lovetype! their gemtype is determined before birth and starts only as a protective casing around their hearts, but once they discover their lovetype it spreads out throughout the body, powering their majic!

★★TRAITS/MUTATIONS;★★
working on the official art/trait lists right now- until that's finished, i'll just write the ones i have planned out here! (once theyre all finished i will update the info; for now, it's just a list of the ones i have planned) i'm open for trait/mutation suggestions if you think of one you'd like to see!

traits are cosmetic changes to the standard Doting Dragon that don't affect their majic or health! some planned traits include;
-heterochromia, extra eyes, extra horns, extra ears, tusks, fangs/OG teeth, furless

mutations are deeper changes that can affect a Dragon's majic, health, or even cut their lifespan short- here's some i have planned!;
-OG wings, extra gemgrowth, lethal gemgrowth, blindness

none currently! working on making some adoptables :}
just so you know, only people with a Toyhou.se account will be allowed to buy/own a Dragon when they're officially launched! this is so i can keep track of them, though I might change this rule? i might just make a TH World instead and upload any that don't have TH profiles.. unsure!

well that's all i really had to say about them, i hope you're interested! i plan to also make a discord server for them if that's something you'd be interested in

i'm also planning to allow USD "preclaims" of each adopt i make because unfortunately i do need USD more than GB at the moment; by this i mean that they'll go up for USD only maybe for 24hrs? and if they aren't bought in that time i'll open them up to GB purchase!
