Well you're in a good place!

Hi! I'm Hawk! I've been on the site for a few years now and want to be able to help out and give back to the community that helped me when I first started, and I thought there is no better way than creating a little "Cheat Sheet" full of tips and tricks to help newer players out!

This guide is also open to collaboration! Any and all players are welcome to offer their own learned tips and tricks to playing too!

Now let's get started, shall we? :DCurrency!

Like all players, new and old, it's difficult to always remember the best ways to get currency in the game, be it Silver Beetles or Gold Beetles !
Fear not! For I've found a few easy ways myself to collect both currencies and I'm here to share them!

Silver Beetles
Silver beetles can be difficult to get ahold of when you're new, but don't let that stop you from trying! Before you go selling everything to the monkey at Monkey Business, try out some of these methods I've discovered work well!

►Play the mini-games! - A good few mini games on the site, including Cups, Slots and Trivia, can offer you SB rewards! Trivia is a good one to get a maximum of 60 at a time, if you choose the 'Hard' difficulty! If you do end up stuck on the questions, however, fear not! There is a handy guide on the official Lioden wiki to help you out!

►Explore! - It may sound obvious to some, but a good amount of SB can be picked up by being an active explorer! Especially if you come across the "Lion Skeleton" encounter! You can either pick up 50 from 'cleaning' it up, or collect a lion skull - the use of which will be explained below!

►Sell Skulls! - Either when exploring or a random chance drop from using up a carcass, you can collect a wide variety of Skulls during your day-to-day use of the site! These can be sold to the monkey in Monkey Business for a varying amount of SB at a time!
I do advise, however, if you want to do this, make sure you keep at least one of the more expensive skulls [i.e Lion Skull, Elephant skull etc.] aside in your hoard, just in case it's needed during an event or for a quest with the snake!
Speaking of the snake...

►Complete the snake's quests - We all understand the snake's quests can sometimes get difficult, especially if it's items you don't have to hand! However, completing a quest with the snake will reward you with EXP for your lion, but also a small amount of SB for your troubles!

►Sell items on your Branch or Trading Center! - It may seem, again, one of the most obvious options for getting your paws on SB, but selling items to other users is a great way to go about getting more ! Sell herb or food 'bundles' (5+ items) or even Large Leaves, Large Rocks or skulls on the Trading Center! Don't be disheartened if they don't immediately sell! It could take time!
Selling any decor you feel like parting with on your branch also helps! It may, again, take a little while but it will eventually sell!

Gold Beetles
Gold Beetles are a little harder to get ahold of, especially when starting out, but here are a few ways I've found work the best!

►Sell Large Amounts of sought after items! - Selling 10+ Broken Drones, Broken Cameras, Skulls and Food items will often help bring in the ! I've found personally 50+ uses of food being sold can get you between 1-2 if you hunt a lot! If you explore often, selling "cave building bundles" using excess Large Rocks and Large Leaves can get you up to 10 a pop!

►Use your SB - It may seem odd to suggest this, but it works! The Gold Beetles Sales tab of the Oasis allows other players to purchase for !
Do note, however, that the pricing will fluctuate throughout the year! One month you could buy GB for as low as 800 and other months it could be as high as 2000. The trick is to pay attention to the events, see what's being bought and save and buy accordingly!

►Buy some! - I know. I said this was a simple guide, and it still is! Sometimes the easiest way to get GB is to purchase some yourself! The best time to buy it, however, is during the Black Friday Sale! When you buy GB during this event, you get an extra 10% of what you're already buying and some extra goodies, depending on the amount you spend!

►Play Slots - If you're feeling especially lucky, head over to the slots machine! In addition to being able to win , you can also luck out and get high value items! If you do win Jackpot or High reward, a few of these items can be sold to make yourself some GB!

►Enter Raffles! - As the final tip for the currency section, this could really apply to both. I chose, however, to put it in the GB section as more often you'll find rewards as prizes in a raffle as opposed to . It's all up to luck as to whether or not you win some, but a lot of the time raffles will have cheaper entry tickets, such as low cost or easy item tickets - such as herbs, abandoned nests etc - so your cost for entering is next to nothing!
