If you do not wish to wait until your king turns 16 before he gets replaced, retiring at 15 years old is free Or you can spend 10GB (gold beetles) to retire him early. He does not have to be a certain age or have been king for a certain amount of time in order to retire him. If you wish to retire early (before the game forces/prompts you to), it's at the very bottom of your king's page.
*Warning: If you have recently retired a male, there will be a fee of 15GB to bypass the 'retirement cooldown'. So with the bypassed cooldown fee of 15GB plus the new early retirement (10GB), would make the whole new second retirement a total of 25GB.*
