I felt like our anniversary was a great time to design a mascot for the clan. This mascot will receive artwork, which will be turned into banners for use in player dens, if you like that sort of thing! Let's get into the details.

Background
Our clan was inspired by the PS4 FromSoftware title "Bloodborne". It features dark and broody atmospherics, shades of black, grey, slate, pale purple, with pops of soft torchlight rose-gold glow. It's all spread between a layer of sinister blues and sickly, dull greens, swirled together like a rainy coat of paint over a gothic victorian world.

But most of all, our clan was inspired by the sky. That paleblood sky...


So when I sat down to create a clan, I didn't just want to cater to dark palettes or spooky themes. I wanted to provide a corner of Lioden for others like me fascinated with these haunting palettes. Vibrant but dreary, opulent but dying. Yharnam is a city that is breathing its last.

And so, I'd like our mascot to embody that as well. Read below for guidelines, rules and suggestions for this contest.

Contest Rules
Lion designs should use standard lion lionart.
No hybrids, dwarves, primals, etc. You can use ANY piebald / patches OR a 'posed mutation'.

Lion designs may include decorations from anywhere in Lioden.
From explore decors to event to rare decors, any decor goes!

Lion designs may include up to 2 custom decors.
Out of respect to those who have privately commissioned CDs, you may only use CDs in the design which can be bought.

Lion designs may use any bases / marks in Lioden.
These can include applicator, custom or breed-only. All count! However, your lion must have at least 5 markings.

Lion designs should incorporate our clan's thematic palettes.
Because this mascot represents the clan themes which are geared toward gothic colourbombs, players should use darker palettes with pops of colour, preferably in any combination of non-saturated blues, purple, mossy green, slate, fire-light oranges and yellows on black or white bases. ANY black or white themed base will work, including those that have a bit of colour! I used Celsian in the example below.

Lion designs should incorporate a hood, cowl, or head covering.
Because this lion will be made our clan's Vicar mascot, it should include a head covering.

Lion designs should have a hint of supernatural elements, but still visibly be a lion.
We are a spooky spooky clan, with haunting vibes. It's only fitting!

Lion designs can feature horns, antlers, feathers, and extra fur tufts.
The creatures of Bloodborne are shaggy, beastly things. So you can submit a lion like that too!

Lion designs should not be overly complicated.
Please do not submit overly decorated lions with too much detail, or that cover too much of the body. This is because I'll be commissioning art of the mascot for everyone, and I'd like to keep the price reasonable.
