I think having a couple of bases for our lions that are based completely on snakes could really lead to some beautiful lions. Imagine a lion with a base whose colors mimic the Boomslang? Or Atheris desaixi? Perhaps Bitis peringueyi? Calabar Burrowing Pythons are rather gorgeous, while Horned Adders have very beautiful markings. And these are just some species found in Africa.

It doesn't have to be just bases either, more snake-based markings could be very pretty as well. Again, the Horned Adders have very pretty markings that could be used for lions.

Also, doesn't have to just be snakes, could be reptiles in general!
