This is my biography for my queen, Vyseryx. Hope you like it! Please rate it too! Thanks in advance! You are lost. Of course you are. It seemed as though staying at home wasn’t such a bad idea after all. Nonetheless, these gnarly twisting trees seem to peak your interest as you meander your way deeper into the gloom. You are lost. There is no doubt about that. You stumble as you reach a sloping hill compounded by thick underbrush. Thinking no better, you climb it, your hands being savaged by thorns. The ground squelched underfoot as you barrelled heroically onward, slipping and sliding like quicksand. You were close now, you could see the dappled moonlight shining through the treacherous bristle. With one last effort, you burst from the strangling forest and into clear air. Vast rolling hills stretched out like blankets over the landscape. The grass sang as the wind blew gently through it. The moon was larger than ever, it seemed, and the stars glowed loyally by its side. But wait .., what? Sat like a monument in the horizon, you spot a large looming figure. It didn’t seem to move at first, but as you ponder about what it was the monument became bigger and bigger until you realised: whatever it was, it was moving towards YOU. Not much moving, but galloping; except this creature was certainly not like a horse. It was too big for that. A pair of eyes the colour of pearlescent opals pierced the night, brighter and more intent upon its purpose than the moon itself. You stand there, rooted to the spot. You fool. Don’t you know what will happen next? Before you even have a chance to draw an intake of breath, it was upon you. Sending you flying onto your back, sprawled across the jagged grass. Your breathing became erratic and strained, your ears started to pound and your eyes darted back and forth in search for an escape. But, alas, there was none. The creature loomed slowly, quietly. Like a cat teasing it’s prey, it encircled you thrice under the veil of darkness. It finally stopped in front of you, and stepped into the cone of light. Your breath hitched as you saw a pair of yellow eyes boring into you. Two fangs that protruded unnaturally from its beastly jaws were just meters from your face. It’s coat boasted rich and deep colours which reminded you of a nebula from outer space, paired with freckled star-like gems which seemed to shine like the stars above. What was it? It resembled a lion but… “ I am no lion “ a rich velvety voice boomed from the pits of the beasts body. You covered your face in fright, knowing that this was the end yet equally as intrigued by the creature. “W-what are you?” You miraculously manage to piece together. You risk another look up into the beast eyes. It had not moved, it was still poised precisely, as if it were to strike at any given moment. The beast seemed to consider something before rosing from its position, with one paw placed as a warning on your chest, and gazed at the skies above. “My name is Vyseryx, dread of stars. Daughter of the Ninth leader of the Nubluaic kingdoms, ruler of the Eastern planets and Bane of Light Itself. I was sent down here to extinguish the lowly.” Her eyes slowly fixed back onto yours. “And it appears I’ve already found one.” “No! Please wait!” You fumble desperately around, trying to find the right words to say. “I’m not lowly! I’m just a traveller who came across you at the wrong time! Please! I have my family to get back to!” Vyseryx definitely did not seem the type of beast to consider such a pathetic plea. Yet her paw loosened just a little as she considered. Her eyes fixated upon you, boring deep into the pits of your soul, rooting out your entire history in a matter of moments. Her head inclined up to the stars again, uttering a silent prayer. “You are lucky today, traveller.” She hissed, hot smoke steaming from the sides of her jaws. “But I have more important business to attend, and you are not the type to get my paws bloody over, but when I choose to visit again at my own leisure I will be sure to pay you a visit.” You weren’t sure if she was being serious or not. She didn’t give you much time to think about it. With a roar that shook the very core of the planet, she leapt into the air, paws outstretched as if grabbing onto something. She found her footing upon the night sky itself, and within a few mighty bounds she was but a mere dot in the sky, one with the stars. As she left, she boomed over her shoulder: “I AM VYSERYX, BANE OF THE LIGHT. REMEMBER THAT NAME TRAVELLER.” And she was gone. 0 players like this post! Like? |
