The layout for this i thought could be a AMP, and your lion appears to be Overweight or fat. With the fat mutation Lionesses could not hunt. and male lions couldn't be king (due to exploring and battling) The reason for this is because of the lethal mutation i though looks cute, so why not have a round lion sorry if this looks weird lol!! not rlly good at putting my ideas into words,, |

I am not supporting this simply because we shouldn't be glamorising obesity, or for that matter weight extremes of either end of the spectrum. It isn't healthy to go "oh yes I want to breed the obese mutation because its SO CUTE". As someone recovering from an eating disorder I have to confess I find this uncomfortable. I'd feel the same if you suggested "severely underweight". The closest I think you'll get to this mutation would be Acromegaly (very overgrown lion, 1mane version for any type. Art change: Adult Female/Male stages different - no game effect) which is approved in the Mutation Suggestions Masterpost. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

in order for me to support you would have to find more info and find an irl example of a genetic mutation that would cause this. And it would have to be a mutation that causes extra fat no matter the diet of the lion. Cause most eating disorders and such are directly affected by what some one eats (either because they see themselves as fat so they dont eat (Anorexia nervosa), or their brain says they need food when they dont (Bulimia nervosa). Stuff like that wouldn't ount for me as it is directly linked to how much they eat. Maybe it would pass if the mutation causes them to lose double hunger or something, but other than that i wouldn't support for the examples i listed above. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Referring to obesity as chonkers is not only weird, but also cute-ifying a real problem. And no animal or person is just born fat. It sometimes can be natural but not obesity. 2 players like this post! Like? |

What if it's just a more well rounded cub? I think it's a rather cute idea looking from this angle. As I know taking care of younger animals they tend to eat more than adults. Ie, Younger puppies for example vs Adult dogs. Not all do, but most. Maybe they could make it like a higher stamina bar when feeding? I don't see anything wrong with that. 0 players like this post! what if it was a fur mutation that made the lion look a little chunky? 0 players like this post! Like? |

It still wouldnt send the right message. Imagine if a new player saw what seemed to be an obese lion on the home screen, being "chonky" is no better than being emaciated, take this from someone who worked in anveterinary field and literally saw what fat did to the insides of animals. Fur type or not, it would still be giving the "hecking chonk" vibes which are so bad for peoples pets, and for people themselves. Plus it could negatively affect those of us with eating disorders, the same could be said for an emaciated mutation. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Okay, I understand some people don't agree with it and are health conscious. But I mean.. there are literal lethal mutations.. Where as this one from OP, in my opinion wasn't meant to be mean or harmful to the lion/cub at all. I mean that's kind of frustrating you'll accept one but not the other. 0 players like this post! I would have to agree with gagey on that. We have tons of real life lethal Mutations that are sad but people still live for their looks. I dont see how this is any different. I personally just don't agree with the method of how the looks comes about (yoy can see more on my opinion abive) But I mean we have blind, deaf, harlequin ichyotis and much more. So I dont see this as any different. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lethal mutations do happen in teal life though, every lethal here has happened in one animal or another and the clue is in the name: lethal. They die, they dont choose to be this way, nor are they made that way by their owners/keepers. If this was to be added it too would have to be a lethal mutation with death probably very young (before 6) due to the inability to hunt/fight/etc due to their organs literally being surrounded in fat... Can't imagine running around with that would be fun, plus inability to mate/carry cubs to term due to the fat. I still don't see this mutation being added even with those terms because to my knowledge, an obese lion in the wild.. Doesn't happen. I'm happy to be proven wrong if someone can show me a link to a genuine obese, wild (not zoo, not sanctuary, wild.) lion. If it were implemented I think we would need a toggle for it like Rumble / Brawl because it can cause people with eating disorders to regress. I myself havent eaten today because of this topic. 0 players like this post! Like? |

That is kinda what I was thinking. Unless there is some disease that isnt directly linked to how much they eat, and more linked to something like an error in their genes that causes an over production in fat pads and growth then I dont see it being implamented. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Firstly, any animal sat in that position has rolls, even humans. Secondly, that lion isnt fat, theres something going on with it but it isnt fat. The third one is very obviously photoshopped. Finally, cubs typically have bellies like that when growing, and its not a sign of obesity. You can see it in puppies and kittens too, they grow out of it. Also whats the source? Is there an actual article to go with them? I asked for wild lions with proof of such. I asked for links, so I can research it my side too. Here, a puppy and kitten with milk bellies.
