I’ve been giving this a lot of thought lately because the art for male leopons and tigons are some of my favorite in the game. I think they are so pretty and it’s just such a shame that more of them aren’t kings because they can’t breed.

So I offer an idea- let them breed!

I mean what’s stopping it? It’s not scientifically accurate? Well there are so many other fun features in this game that aren’t accurate but we all still enjoy them! For example in order to get a leopon or tigon you don’t actually need to breed to tigers or leopards, it’s just random. Also, second gen tigons and leopons still look the same when in reality they would look much more lion like.

I think it’s something to consider and I really hope others agree with me.

They can breed, to 100% fertility lionesses - their are leopons/tigon males up for studding right now so...

They cannot pass their mutation though, having a leopon/tigon king is meant to be a luxury. They're also more valuable as females.

Imagine if a Tigon/Leopon male could pass on his mutation, the hybrid pass chance is 5%. That means for every 100 cubs, there's a chance for 5 hybrids. Now, there are people out there with 400-500 territory. Imagine if they just kept buying In-heat NCLs, mass breeding them and then dropping the cubs. The value would tank.

I never said they have to pass on their genes, and if that were a problem the chance for males to pass it on could always be lowered or nerfed. And a male that can only breed to 100% females isn’t really worth being a king for most.

Thats why they're a luxury, and considered as such by the people who have them!

Or in order for males of the species to have a chance to breed leopons or tigons they have to breed to the females of their species.

That would be unnecessary as the females already have the pass rate, so how would you know who passed it? The species of the father would then be irrelevant.

This suggestion is unnecessary, unfortunately, if you want a hybrid king, the terms are that you can only breed to a 100% fertility lioness. This was a compromise made in the last couple of years or so: before that, you could king them but not breed at all.

Male leopons could increase the pass rate but only if bred to female leopons, otherwise it has no pass rate. It wouldn’t be irrelevant. That way, there is no mass breeding of NCLs but the male leopons can still breed to lower fertility lionesses.
