If you arent going to lab frog him, i highly reccomend the cloudburst mane! it can be gained via the floodpit, recently discovered that and i see that it would fit him very good.

I also reccomend some markings for when the winter event hits next month.

Arctic Crevasse and Aufeis Layers can both be found in the mantis shop next month, with how your lion is with dark winter theme i HIGHLY enourage you strive for these apps.

Okay, so I am absolutely no expert just to start-

My friend has helped me immensely in learning genetics and such, how to breed out the colors you want or need, etc!

Basically, for the base coats, it just depends on what you are wanting.
So you want something that looks wintery, but not like your current king.
Lets pretend I want a lion with a LIGHT base, but dark markings!

I'd find myself a Dove Gray NCL (Black Light Countershaded Common), and then, I'd try and find her a stud that either has a Pewter, Korat, or Penumbra base (Black Dark Countershaded). This would give me cubs of either Dove Gray, or the Studs base, or a handful of other bases that might result from the mix.
You can see the possible outcomes of what bases you combine HERE. You can also very well figure out how all the breeding genetics work in this wiki too!

What I get from what my friend has taught me-
Narrowing down what you want is key, because then you can figure out what lioness and what lion you need.
It all starts at the base coat (another example-)

I am looking to breed my lioness Nyala so I can get a cub with the CINNABAR base!
Nyala: Red Medium Solid (rare)
Future Stud: Red Light Solid (rarity doesn't seem to matter, because Nyala covers it by being rare herself)

Combining lions from the same color group, but opposing shades gives me possible access to getting a cinnabar.
So if you want something lighter grey / white, try combining two lions in the same color group, but on opposing shades! AGAIN, I am no expert, so I may be wrong as I am still working it out myself, but if it works for you I'm glad!

If you will give me some time, I will happily figure out how to breed the perfect king for you using the wardrobe and the genetics wiki!
