Warning before posting ads.Have you ever accidentally posted a stud advertisement too early, is that roar button just a bit too close to your keyboard? Mayhaps you've once put a stud ad in the wrong chat. Happens to the best of us. * 1. Community Interaction 1.22B. "b) Posting sales posts in the chat anywhere other than on the Sales channel. This includes posts that may hint at potential sales." My proposal.
Let me know your thoughts on this. I tried to keep it a short read. (Please for the love of Christ don't complain about the mod's jobs. Its a notification. Not the green box. Think before you vote "And I think misunderstanding comes from the word "warning" used in the suggestion, not the suggestion itself. Seems like Saturnzrose is thinking you're suggesting users to get automatic rule-break notification, like the one Mods send but an automatic one, so like when you post in wrong chat, you get a moderator message "Rule Vilation Reminder" - which is, I dont think is what you're suggesting?.. I read that "warning" as "pop-up notification", so you just get a game tip - you're in X chat, are you sure you want to post this ad? That is how I read it. That I do support, it would be useful, when its a trade link or link to studding enabled king/reverse breeding enabled lioness posted outside of Sales chat." — Mad Hyena |

Seems like a solid idea! I think 30 mins for lion link posting is a bit much & would propose maybe 15 instead, but that's just an aside. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Well, the official limit is an hour. I believe this is also mentioned in the Code of conduct. Posting 1 lion multiple times under the span of an hour, is classified as spam. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Well there's already warnings above the chat box letting people know where to post advertisements and stuff. Even if someone does know the rules already, it still happens on accident sometimes. Tbh I think a delete option for your own message would be better because usually people that do make the mistake catch the messup right away. And even if they don't the mods are there still to remove and remind once more, or it'll get buried or reported by other messages especially in main. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Go ahead, make your own thread then. Mods aren't online 24/7, and deleting your own messages can lead to conflict and such if not stored somewhere (which, if that were to be an option, the server needs to be bigger). There aren't warnings and if mods are so great at deleting these messages, I shouldn't see them anymore. It's never an accident if you read the code of conduct like the rest of us, because it's constantly mentioned; check your chats! I even know some people who deliberately put their ads in main to get more attention. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Not trying to start conflict just simply stating my own opinion. I'm not gonna make a whole thread just to counter yours. Like you said, mods arent online 24/7. They have lives too and can't aways be 100% attentive to everything. But yeah it'd be good for consequences to be enforced on those who post adverts in main on purpose or who do it too much. If it's just a once in a while thing it's not that bad at all. And for the deleting messages thing, I don't know how all the coding stuff works but I'm sure there'd be a way to impliment a report option for inappropriate messages sent and removed by the same person. There's gotta be some way to view logs of sent messages for members that the mods can see and if there isn't I'm sure there's a way to make one! I just don't think there should be consequences right away for a one time mistake or if it happens like once in a blue moon for certain users. They shouldn't be grouped with the people who do it on purpose. I know I have read and know the rules and even I've made a mistake and caught it right away. The best I could do is report my own message and move on, or apologize to chat. Sometimes it can be confusing to see the titles for different chats in line like that, especially the sales chats. And especially for people with disabilities like dyslexia or similar things to that. It's a good idea just a bit flawed. I'm not in 100% disagreement 0 players like this post! Like? |

Also my bad if I misunderstood or assumed something about this. I'm not too clear on the specifics of your disciplinary idea 0 players like this post! Like? |

There are consequences to posting it accidentally, actually, and there always will be. I'm not here to discuss punishments, actually only made this suggestion to prevent punishment. It's just a pop-up message to double check your chats. Please tell me why you think it's flawed without twisting my words, as I stated in my thread, It's only a reminder. I think it's an issue that too many people profit from so-called "mistakes". We all make them. Again, that's why I made this suggestion. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Never said there wasn't. And I'm not twisting your words I guess I'm just interpreting different? If it's just about the pop up message then I don't get either point because there already is one when mods delete you message and remind you and I don't think automated one's would work because of the diversity of different reasons why you would post a link in any chat. I'd be hard to prevent things like that for the wrong reasons. Maybe it'd be a good idea to re-word your thread post better next time too 0 players like this post! Like? |

And even then so what if people gain profit from mistakes. They'll eventually get taken care of and it's easy to just ignore 0 players like this post! Like? |

It is just about the pop up message. It's only purpose is to remind you to check the chat you post it in, and if you have an still intent to post it, you can click through. It's such a small addition with eventually attempting to lower mistakes by 50-100% It seems you really want to counter my suggestion with even harder to implement ones, like message deletion. As I said, message deletion would take more server space, and this is just a small reminder to check what chat you're in. You don't get a warning when posting a link. You get a reminder. It's going to lower the amounts of messages the mods have to send out. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 07/11/22 @ 06:22:04 by Vulturetalon 🕯️felis soon (#243408) |

Yes, exactly, the game tip. Like that button of "are you sure you want to log out?" When Clicking the logout button. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yup, that's how I read it! That would indeed be useful - I had a few times where I wanted to show my king in main chat, a pop-up notification like that would be a great reminder to take him off studding before doing it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It wouldn't be enforced to keep your king off of studding! It would just say like: "Uh-oh, this lion is for studding/reverse breeding. Are you sure this is the right chat?", then you would continue to either select no or yes. This would be in any chat except for Sales chat. If you do however clickthrough "yes" in the wrong chat AND you're either A) Advertising, or B) Alluding to trades You will get a reminder from the mods, as you usually do when making a mistake. I'd like to remind everyone subscribed to this suggestion that no action will be taken against your account unless it's on purpose or an immediate rule break. This pop-up wouldn't restrict you, just remind! 0 players like this post! Like? |
