Hello, everyone! ♥ I'm Kit in a Box. I used to go by Kit, Ebony Addict a long while back.

Ebony has to be my favorite base in the whole game! In fact, at one point, I had over 100 Ebony based lions at one time. I swore off Ebony for a bit but I'll slowly get back into breeding for them once I finish my king project.

Does anyone have any favorite Ebony markings or other Ebony features?

Ooh! Ebony with blue eyes is so pretty.

I think my favorite marking to pair with Ebony is Lilac Margay. I ended up freezing my favorite one when she got old since I liked her so much.

Can an ebony base be breed to another one and it produces another ebony?

Dark solid rare x dark solid rare, will that be able to make an ebony base as well?

Ebony bred to another Ebony can produce another Ebony but it isn't guaranteed. It can produce any black dark solid common, uncommon, or rare black dark solid bases.

If one of the pairing is black dark solid rare then it could produce an Ebony but if the pairing doesn't have a black genetics base then it couldn't produce one.
For example Red Dark Solid Rare x Cream Dark Solid Rare will never produce an Ebony.

To add; Ebony requires one of the parents to have a Black genetics base. Without a Black genetics base an Ebony (or other non-combo black genetics bases) aren't possible.

So will a special black genetics give a higher chance of breeding an ebony if it's paired with another uncommon, or rare black genetics?

Though the exact percentages aren't given, the Lioden Wiki says that a Special base bred to an uncommon, rare, or special has a higher chance (low instead of very low) of breeding a rare base.

I wasn't sure so I had to go find it. x)

Rare bases aren't too hard to breed once you get an uncommon, rare, or special genetics based lion/lioness. :D Just down to luck after that, really.
