In the wild plains of the savannah, hidden in the grass, a mother nursed her young cubs. The pride shaman and healer were there to assist with the birthing process. Three were born that day, a female cub the color of onyx with golden flecks traveling from the back of the head down, a male cub with blood-red fur and black spotting on his back, and a lighter, crimson cub with a muzzle of onyx, black flecks along their back and paws that fade to black.
It was the last cub that caught the lionesses' attention. The cub was born with both female and male features. The healer told the mother to allow this cub to grow and see if it was a mistake, the shaman, however, thought the cub should be killed. This terrified the new mother, so she sent away the shaman and allowed the healer to comfort her.
