Xilvdaers are a broad species, with mainly two subspecies - Ferals and Civils. Ferals are far larger, with many different features such as long, nimble arms, fangs, and even whiskers. Civils are anthropomorphic, standing at an average of 2.3 Metres tall. Their height may vary according to their tier and genes, along with things like hair length, skin color, fur color, mutations, and more. They are most distinguished by their large ears, box-like face, long luxurious hair and five-fingered hands with retractable claws. They also walk on their tiptoes, similar to dinosaurs, while still having some sort of humanoid structure.
Civils are split into four distinct tiers based on their power. Their tier can also affect things like their lifespan, height, body type, abilities and more. The tiers are as follows:
Tier 1 - Your average citizen. A mundane Civil Xilvdaer who lives either in the city or the villages scattered throughout the world's many biomes. They usually have a lifespan of 50-60 years, reaching their prime and adulthood at 20. Their ID numbers go from #100 to #199
Tier 2 - A Xilvdaer who expresses a great interest or strong ability in a certain area, such as being incredibly strong, or very good at science, or art, etc. They are only considered Tier 2 once they have obtained an ability - usually pertaining to their strength. Tier 2 Xilvdaers have a longer lifespan, usually 60-70 years. They reach adulthood around 20, similar to Tier 1s. Their ID numbers are from #200 to #299
Tier 3 - Xilvdaers who are born from the void, or who have expressed such great strength in their abilities that they can harness powers similar to a Demigod. These Xilvdaers are usually incredibly powerful - the most powerful a mortal Xilvdaer can be. As they are similar to demigods, tier 3 Xilvdaers usually live till 250 or so, maybe even longer. They hit their prime at 100 years old. Their ID numbers are from #300 to #399
Tier 4 - Literally god. Tier 4 Xilvdaers are incredibly rare and difficult to obtain, and even so, you cannot get one from a random or custom Xilvdaer Rolls. They can only be obtained through giveaways or events done by the owner. Currently, the only tier 4 ID number is #400, but it will increase as more are made. Being literal gods, Tier 4 Xilvdaers are immortal, often being millions of years old. They reach the end of their birth cycle at 5 Million, thus marking the start of their immortality and "adulthood".
Feral Xilvdaers have their own separate tier - Tier 0. All feral Xilvdaers fall under the same tier, as they cannot gain nor lose their abilities, but they can learn skills that can either cancel out or upgrade their abilities. As they are feral, they will never interact with the Civils, unless through unforeseen circumstances, such as finding one in a forest. As tier 0 Xilvdaers follow a different set of rules than the Civils, they are often more carefree and "wild", though they can still create sophisticated tribes in the wild. Unfortunately, they have the shortest lifespans, living no farther than 30 - 40. They reach adulthood really quickly, being independent at only 4 years old. Their ID numbers will be from #001 to #099.

Most, if not all Xilvdaer mate for life. In rare cases, a widowed Xilvdaer may go find another partner, but most of the time they will wait for their partner for the rest of their life. It is not uncommon to find gay couples, or polyamorous couples. Such pairings are completely fine and fully allowed.
Partnering Xilvdaer is a complicated process. The male must court the female, (or in gay circumstances, both sides court) and they will only begin the process if the female accepts his courting.
The process takes a total of 3 Days IRL, in which the two must give each other different tasks to complete in increasing difficulty. For example, writing a poem, drawing a flower, etc.
At the end of the 3 Days, if the two have completed all tasks to the other's satisfaction, the Xilvdaers may partner.
By pairing your Xilvdaer, you can breed without needing the close relation criteria. And the pair will stay paired until one passes, so you can RP or interact with your paired Xilvdaer without the need for exploring.
