That being said, there's a lot of lovely things you can do to your lion to spruce him up. You can use Random Marking Applicators (1 from the Oasis or gift from rolling), or you can use regular event marking applicators or Oasis marking applicators, not to mention the eye apps and mane apps also available in the Oasis or event shops/craftables!

If you can wait to retire, I think I would just so you REALLY know what you're aiming for on Lioden as it is easy to flip flop between heirs wasting GB, changing your mind, not really knowing what you like …

Hello there! In my opinion, it's better to hold off on retiring your first king like Mandrill said to give you time to figure out and plan your heir, and just to give you more time to learn about how to play the game in general ^^

I still have my starter king/queen and am really glad I didn't retire her! What really helped me like and connect with my starter a lot more is by trying to redesign them in the lion wardrobe! Try out a lot of bases and markings, preferably ones that you can craft or buy from the current/upcoming events so they're more accessible to you. Remember, you can remove the markings from your king using a marking removal for 1 from the oasis at any time!

Alongside that, maybe see if changing the pose of your lion makes them more appealing to you! You can make lions visually appear as the opposite sex (lab test frog, 2 , oasis), make lions visually have the adolescent pose (tigers eye, 1 , oasis), apply poses to lionesses and kings that have the lab test frog equipped (all except the jolly pose for 1 , oasis), etc!

Andd last but not least, look for decor and backgrounds that match the aesthetic/theme you want your king to have and test them in the wardrobe. This wiki page is a decor directory of all the decor in the game, organised so it's easier to find something you'd like, and this is a background directory of all the backgrounds in the game!

Also be sure to use a computer if you can when navigating the wardrobe and the directory pages as they can be a bit hard to use on mobile aha, good luck w ur king <3
