Writing Commissions!
Hello! Welcome to my Writing Commission thread! This will be my first time doing something like this so you’ll have to be patient with me.

Right outside of the den, you find a tan lioness rolled over on her back. She looks as if she's sunbathing. After walking around for a good while, you decide to join her. As soon as you lay down she notices you. Opening her eyes only slightly to take a good look at your features. A couple seconds after they're shut again. While she's resting you get a good look of her features.

She's rather basic. Like the lionesses you find while exploring. She has one singular marking all across her back and it's mud colored. Yet in a way she's very beautiful as well. The flowers drooping off of her shoulders, the sun glistening just right and a small furry rabbit keeping guard. It was a really hairy rabbit. The way she seemed so at peace, not a single care in the world. Not one bad thought going through her head. You felt relaxed when being next to her. As if all your worries were just sliding off of your shoulders.

A small rumble erupts from your throat, breaking the comfortable silence between the two of you. You expect the lioness to be angry for disturbing the peace. But instead she just laughs, and trails off with a sigh. "Relaxing, isn't it? This is the only time the sun shines at this angle. The best angle on the whole territory."

Her voice is, well, mesmerizing. It reminds you of the old witches that you find out in the swamps, with their stink beetle potions and platinum beetles. But without the cracks and high pitched tones. It calms you. Gives you a sense of ease. AFter another moment of silence she begins to speak once more. "The sun was at this exact angle when I met him. Mufasi. He wasn't nothing special. Far from it. Very unattractive actually. Even though I can't be the one to talk. But it wasn't the looks that got to me. It was the way he spoke, the way he loved caring for the little cubs that you see running around everywhere. Most of them aren't even his. About one or two are. He just loved cubs. His kindness is what gravitated me towards him."

From the way she talks about the pride's king, you assume that this is the famous Nalu. The first lioness claimed by the king. She has the most respect out of all of the pride members. More than Mufasi himself, and you can see why. She doesn't do anything to not have respect around here, in addition to being the very first pride member. Making her the oldest here. Nalu notices your thinking and smiles. "Don't think about it too much, now. You should go back inside. There's plenty to do other than sit around with little old me."

You didn't really want to go away, but you also didn't want to bother the lioness. You take a stand and bow down before her respectfully. Nalu does nothing but grin, closing her eyes and going back to bathing in the blazing sun. Going back into the den, you hold onto the interaction for as long as you can. That was rather... amazing.
