Hello! I’ve seen some people post the question: What generation is my lion? How can I tell??

(Please DM me if there is something i can improve or correct on this post, this is my first time making a user guides, go easy on me :’) )

(One thing to note before I start, 1st Generation Leopons/Tigons mean something totally different! I’ll get to that later!)

First off, where can I find my lion’s heritage? You can find your lion’s heritage when you go to their page and click this button:



Now that you’re in their heritage page, how can you tell what generation they are? Simple! You simply count how many columns of lions your lion has in their heritage. For example, let’s use one of my lions, Ms. Whiskers. Let’s just look her lineage first.


As you can see, she has 3 columns of lions in her heritage which makes her 3rd generation.

“But my lion has a lineage that goes on forever on their dad’s side and the mom’s side is very short! Which side do i count??”

You have to continue counting on whichever side keeps going! Let’s look at another example. Let’s look at Majesty’s lineage.


From this, we can now conclude she is generation 11.
“But my lion’s lineage is longer than that!! How can I tell then?”
Don’t fret! It’s the same process but please note, if your lion’s lineage goes on for PAGES and PAGES, it’s just not worth listing the generation if you’re planning on advertising it in a trade or documenting it. Simply listing it as “long lineage” or “long gen” would be better than putting “gen 23.”

“I keep seeing Tigons/Leopons being advertised or being praised for being 1st Generation. What does that mean? How is it possible?”

1st Generation in Tigons/Leopons mean something different. It means that they were the first Tigon/Leopon to pop up out of nowhere instead of being inheriting by a pon/gon mother. They still have a lineage
