Have you ever spent hours trying to get the highest score possible in a minigame? You've finely honed your mind and clicking fingers to maximize output. You just KNOW you'll get a cool decor this time and- Oh. A Nommable Fish. Thanks... I have a suggestion for how to rebalance this! Instead of having randomly selected prize pools based on your score scaling, why not instead take a note from Poacher Chase/Fire Escape? Once a day when you submit your score, you can instead earn points that can be spent in a store. Points earned should vary depending on the game. Scoring 1k in a level of RR would net you far more points than 1k in Shuffle, for example. Naturally, certain minigames should be exempt from this. I would elect to completely remove Cups, Slots, and Baoball from this function, as that inherently goes against the function of Cups/Slots being gambling and Baoball basically being cub training for adults. Trivia either could be entirely exempt, or you only get a very small amount of points based on correct answers. Possibly only receiving points if you manage to correctly answer all three questions? But Lioden user Forget-Me-Not, how would we avoid crashing the market? While you would be capped to only submit scores once-per-day, per-game, and I believe that would easily alleviate market strain the same way that the Enclave's daily MT cap prevents crashing the GE item market, I have three other solutions to accompany this. Solution One - Follow the Enclave's system and have most items have obscenely high prices, thereby forcing players to either Git Gud, or have to save up for several days to be able to purchase high-value items Solution Two - Have a "shop stock" that resets on a fixed basis. You can only purchase so many of an item before it is "out of stock", and you must wait to purchase more. This would prevent players from mass-purchasing high-value items and selling them in bulk Solution Three - Follow the Floodpit and Bonepit's system and have a revolving shop. If there's nothing good in the shop, you have to wait, or pay a fee of points, for the shop to "rollover", and there's a possibility you may roll several great items and be unable to afford them all at once, or conversely, you don't really get good stuff for a few days, both of which encourages scarcity But Lioden user Forget-Me-Not, why should we consider this? For me and my friends who love to play minigames, there is just about nothing more frustrating than spending hours trying to maximize our scores in each game, only to receive literal garbage in return. There are also quite a few decors that are more or less "extinct" due to how horribly balanced the minigame prize pools are right now. I am aware that not everyone will agree with this opinion, and there may be more issues with this idea I hadn't considered, so please feel free to let me know what you think! Thank you! ![]() |

I think I'd prefer this over the current system, which imo doesn't work that well and as you said a TON of decor are basically just extinct. Minigame prizes as they are now don't really feel fun or particularly rewarding, to be honest. I got a snail decor I'm NEVER going to use and I doubt anyone else wants either for like, 2 or 3 days in a row. Yay? Oh, this would also fix Whack-a-Snake's problem of requiring scores that are way, WAY too high. ![]() Edited on 26/03/23 @ 15:52:39 by Thalath {Side} (#43831) |

10/10 idea, but what about games that have prizes that are unique to them? ![]() |

It could be possible to have random, but not guaranteed drops, similar to how Trivia has decor that has a small chance of dropping when answering correctly! ![]() |
