Slash was adopted by Marigold from another pride after being a failed mutant. He was adopted as a likely heir Incase Marigold passed away sooner than expected. When he was young the pride welcomed him with open arms and often gave him attention. He was well-fed and well cared for, until he grew up!

Due to his father being a primal, he inherited a large size that's a mixture between a lion and a primal. His size bewildered and even intimidated some of the lionesses in his pride, thus many rejected him. Others were weirdened out by his eccentric nature due to his OCD. So he tried to relate with the lion adolescents instead, but they kept coming and going so he quite quickly learnt to not get attached to them.

His adoptive father was respectful and sometimes even nice to him but he was somewhat impersonal due to always being busy and away exploring. Marigold liked to tussle to connect with him though and sometimes they could get a bit rough due to his large size. He got his belly and nose scars this way. Although Tainted Mane is only old enough to be his big brother he is much more fatherly to Slash than Marigold ever was. Tainted would often give him frank guidance and try to protect Slash from embarrassing himself.

Slash appreciated Tainted, but there was a underlying boredom and loneliness inside of him. Eventually he started going on patrols for longer than usual outside his terrority, amusing himself by exploring inquisitively. Soon enough he met Hetero, who came from a lioness-only pride.

After seeing each other again and again, Marigold, exhausted with the daily grind of pride maintenance, decided to invite his loner twin brother Haribol into the pride to temporarily take over his role while he took a much-needed break. But, while Marigold was gone he died of starvation in a deserted area. After a year of no sign of Marigold Haribol was given consent by the lionesses to officially take over his twin's post of leader.

Haribol wasn't ready to become leader but he had the incentive of fertile lionesses, mountains of meat and protection. It sounded like a good deal to him, so he didn't protest. Haribol, on the other hand, treated Slash more harshly and strictly than Marigold did. Haribol had started to notice suspicious behavior from Slash and began interrogating him.

Slash stayed meekly quiet and brief when responding to Haribol's questions, and he never retaliated his fault-finding, so he usually got away with it after a little while of poking and probing. There was also a time when Haribol made Slash promise to be a willing heir and stay regulated and attend training. He was more often than not late or skipping training to do his own localized activities.

And with Hetero, strangers turned into acquaintances, which turned into friendship, then close friendship then partners. Mind you, this all took a very long time to develop. One day after mating with her as soon as he got back very late he got interrogated by Haribol once again. He hissed, smelling a "rogue" lioness on him. He was not happy to say the least.

In anger and disappointment, he clawed out his left eye roaring "WHY ARE YOU ABANDONING YOUR DUTIES TO ALL THOSE WHO LOVE AND PROTECT YOU FOR A ROGUE'S HEAT?!?!" "ARE YOU BLIND?!" After losing his left eye he ran off to a distant waterhole to take a drink, but looking in his reflection he felt doubt if he was king material.

Personality:

"Haribol's heir to the throne, Slash is mysterious and likes to keep to himself and give himself out sparingly and slowly... It's safer to be sheltered after all.

He is ambiverted (introverted and extroverted mixed together) at heart but likes to go off and do things by himself alot. He is naturally quiet and prefers to listen to his friends.

She has some strange habits that can't be explained. He could be considered weird. He can get caught up and absorbed in his own head and activities.

He is also irresponsible, not confident in himself and is easily pressured. He doesn't like fighting or arguing and avoids it if he can.

He is very soft and warm-hearted to those dear to him, and he gets very attached to them. Like everyone else, he just wants love."

Like: Green, young meat, company, freedom, his friends and family, playing, cuddles, routine (on his own accord), exploring, learning, playing

Dislikes: Purple, rotten meat, his scars, loudness, violence, rejection, excessive heat, pain, guns.

Maikuch is a very kind soul, but displays himself as an emotionless brute to those he doesn't know. His lionesses adore him, though oftentimes are annoyed by playtime with the cubs. All Maikuch's offspring are mini him, which leads to some very interesting adventures. Rootar is Maikuch's Queen, but she's getting older, so Maikuch brings her small gifts such as flowers, small snacks, and on one occasion he brought her a human leg! 😂

Icon done for Daeg#338689's Main! Well, I say icon, but I'm not sure it could be considered that with how much detail I put on the pose... I didn't have much info on them, but their page made me feel like they might be a little sassy? Either way, I hope you like it! They were very fun to draw, even though I had a bit of trouble with the patches. Feel free to trim and resize to however you like it if you decide to use it! It is yours to do with as you please!

Sweetheart to all, you've never met someone so sweet & kind hearted, always looking out for others. His pride is what he cares most for...
Lilac has grand plans on how He can rapir and thrive the forest to it natural glory, what we arnt aware of are his plans to use the blood of the innocent, too replenish the soil & water the trees. You better bare him beautiful cubs or else you'll wind up being planted under neath the mighty willow trees to be used as fertilizer.
