It means the opposite, it means you have to NOT be hungry for it to work, so your king needs to be fed. Also you need to use it on the hour or you may lose an hour of it working, since it doesn’t work on a 60 minute schedule, it goes by Lioden time. So you’ll need to make sure your lion is NOT hungry and use it on the dot on the hour to make sure you get the most bang for your buck!

There is no item that will make a lion hungry. The only way for a lion to gain hunger is to rollover every day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but since the title is red bull, I'm thinking that you might be misunderstanding the item? You don't have to be hungry to use a red bull or roasted lamb—you can just use them like any other item.

I get the confusion, but it's actually saying that it WON'T work if you're very hungry.

The wording is really confusing. Try to remember that hunger gets worse as the number gets higher. 100% hungry is bad. So it's saying 59%-0% hunger for the item to work, if that makes sense.

Leon- I'm guessing they're referring to the part that talks about your lion needing to be hungry to use the double energy here:
