β Project has officially started. Lionesses with short lineages were purchased in order to maintain the shortest heritage possible.
β Since the Project was started during the March Event, Iβd have stacked up on enough βOne With The Giantβ applicators to apply on lionesses freely. These applicators apply the Ivory base which have Cream Light Countershaded Special genetics, the same genetics (apart from rarity) that the Cameo base has. Iβd also be purchasing Ethereal Bodies since theyβre cheap and the genetics are the same.

β Benvolio was finally crowned on March 20, 2023. He had a Savage Mane and 1/6 of the breed-only markings, that being Slot 6: Cream Margay. He was heritage replaced soon after. Lioness with Slot 8: Cream Inverted Zebra was IBFβd in hopes of getting a Savage Maned, Slot 6: Cream Margay & Slot 8: Cream Inverted Zebra cub to no avail, resulting in only a Slot 6: Cream Margay cub.
March 23, 2023
β The first Benvolio continued to produce cubs the following days with no notable cubs until a Savage Maned, Slot 1: Clay Points & Slot 6: Cream Margay cub was born in the wave of new cubs. Along with two cubs with both the Slot 3: Clay Brindle & Slot 6: Cream Margay markings.
β Benvolio was quickly retired by the Savage Maned, Slot 1: Clay Points & Slot 6: Cream Margay cub and replaced with Benvolio II.
March 24, 2023
β Benvolio II was finally heritage replaced. R.I.P. my
and the lionesses are beginning to birth cubs that have multiple traits that I need on them. Oh, I also had a random mutie born!
March 25, 2023
β More cubs have been born! Nothing too notable but I did get another random mutie be born!
March 30, 2023
β Progress has been slow for the past few days due to breeding cooldowns and such. Only one cub was born within the span of the past five days. However, luck finally got on my side! After giving one of the Slot 9: Bone Underfelt lionesses an IBF, Benvolio II and her produced an amazing cub! The cub had 4/8 of the breed-only traits, having a Savage Mane, Slot 1: Clay Points, Slot 6: Cream Margay, and finally Slot 9: Bone Underfelt! Also, she had been born with a Buff base funnily enough. Unexpected but sure!
β While I was hesitant on what to do with the cub, I decided to make her the next Benvolio in the bloodline. Not only would I get more breedings and more chances to pass on the breed-only traits, but I could heritage replace so that she's no longer G3. After all, the shorter/cleaner the bloodline, the better. So, Benvolio II was replaced by Benvolio III! ![](//static.lioden.com/images/emotes/love.png)

β At first, I had several groupies stashed up from the prior May event. However, with how much I've been heritage replacing, I no longer have groupies stashed up. I searched for another groupie in the Trading Center but they're all hella expensive. :( The audacity when the May event is literally in a month.. I'm not too mad though, just salty! Eventually though, I did find a groupie for the price of 8
. Made sense as he had incredibly low stats.
β Benvolio III was finally heritage replaced after a day and a half of searching for a good priced groupie. Going to have to start stashing up again once the May event starts.
β Right after Benvolio III was heritage replaced, I bred him with one of the G1 Slot 5: Vitiligo 4 ladies who was old enough to where I would only get one breeding from her. I was incredibly worried that I wouldn't get the marking to pass on but luckily, I did! Only one cub was born but she has 4/8 of the Breed-Only traits I need. Slot 1: Clay Points, Slot 5: Vitiligo 4, Slot: Cream Margay, and Slot 9: Bone Underfelt. She would have been kinged immediately but she lacks the savage mane unfortunately. She was born with a Cocoa base funnily enough! So, she'll be used for breeding purposes.

β Cooldowns are finally starting to finish up. Bred the only Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra girl I have and fed my stud a Grain of Paradise. Two cubs were born. While not complete failures, they're not complete successes either. One cub was born with a Buff Base, Savage Mane, Slot 1: Clay Points, and Slot 9: Bone Underfelt. The second cub was more successful and was born with a Savage Mane, Slot 6: Cream Margay, Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra, and Slot 9: Bone Underfelt. Unfortunately, she's lacking Slot 1: Clay Points or else I would have definitely kinged her. She's not a bad idea for an heir but I'll hold off on it since I don't want to waste too much
at the moment.

β Breeding cooldowns have been killing the process of this project, as per usual. I finally had Benvolio III start breeding with the offspring of the past Benvolio's. Finally been getting multiple cubs with multiple of the breed-only traits I need put together all in one. Two days ago, I had a cub born with five of the breed-only traits I need, leaving me with needing three more breed-only traits on one lion to finally finish off the breed-only traits. Then, I can start working on breeding the base.
β The cub born has five of the breed-only traits, as stated before. With the increase of five breed-only traits from Benvolio III (who only has three, excluding his base color since I don't need it at the moment), I decided to pass on the torch to her. The cub has a Savage Mane, Slot 1: Clay Points, Slot 3: Clay Brindle, Slot 6: Cream Margay, and Slot 9: Bone Underfelt. Meaning, I only need to get Slot 5: Vitiligo 4 and Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra alongside the other markings on one lion. Then I can work on the base color. Super excited for this progress!
April 29, 2023
β Even more good news! Another cub was born with five out of the eight breed-only traits I need. The cub was born with a Savage Mane, Slot 1: Clay Points (40%), Slot 5: Vitiligo 4 (16%), Slot 6: Cream Margay (47%), and Slot 9: Bone Underfelt (46%). I have decided to king this cub and make him the next Benvolio rather than the other cub. I decided on that because the Clay Brindle marking is more abundant in my pride rather than the Vitiligo. I also prefer the look of the Pearl mane rather than the Clay one that the other cub has (which is kind of irrelevant considering that the groupie I'm going to use is maneless.
).
β Tomorrow once I'm finally paid the
from my 3300 Easter Egg auction, Benvolio III will finally be retired and Benvolio IV will take over. I'm rather attached to Benvolio III, he's been king of my pride for a full month but it's time to say goodbye and let his son take over. I'm excited to see what Benvolio IV has to bring to the table!
β A few days ago, I also decided on making two versions of this RL Recreation. One which will be modified with BO traits and the other which will have all the traits that the original RL had. That way once I finally recreate the raffle lioness, users will have two different versions to pick from. One who's more BO heavy and one who's almost entirely accurate to the RL lady (apart from heritage, stats, so on). The way I'm going to pursue this is by cloning the recreating lady and once she clones, I'll either make the OG recreated lioness the exact copy of the raffle lioness or have her daughter become the exact copy. We'll see!
β So now, I'll be adding a BO skin (Bunting) alongside a BO eye color (Grape) to the mix. That way, there will be two copies of the Recreation lady. One who's more BO heavy and the other who's the exact copy of the raffle lioness. I feel like that'll have users be more freedom in what they want! ![](//static.lioden.com/images/emotes/happy.png)

β Bad news. Unfortunately, I was being really dumb and ended up retiring Benvolio IV so I could replace him with a maneless groupie. However instead of keeping Benvolio IV's appearance, I ended up keeping the maneless groupie. This makes me incredibly frustrated and honestly, has unmotivated me intensely. I don't have anymore
to spare since I decided to use the other part of my
to purchase a triple rosette. Then I RMA'd her until she gave me some decent markings. I then hoped to recover most of my
by attempting to clone her (while deciding to also purchase a Buffy alongside the Crunchy) only to no avail. So now, I'm practically broke.
β The good thing is that the original cub that I was going to crown is still an option to king. The bad news is that the other cub's appearance was lost. The whole point of me waiting was so that I wouldn't have to spend so much
trying to replace Benvolio III but now, I'm going to have to spend even more than that.
β Honestly really disappointing and it made me very angry but at least RMA'ing my new triple rosette made me feel better. There's something so satisfying about RMA'ing markings until you get some good ones. However, now I've got to make lots of
and fast in order to not fall behind on my lionesses' heats. I'm trying to get funds by selling my dirty double rosette (she's literally up for sale for 175
) but no one seems interested in purchasing her. :(
β Oh well, just gotta keep going. One bad thing can't take me down. We'll get there eventually. I'll try to never make that mistake again. πͺπͺ

β Managed to get 25
to replace the male groupie who I've affectionately named "Imposter Benvolio IV". I didn't actually change his name but that's what I'm going to be referring to him as. That way, I can at least laugh about my little mishap rather than feel bad about it. Meet the new and improved Benvolio IV. We'll see what he brings to the table! ![](//static.lioden.com/images/emotes/eyes2.png)
β Debating on whether or not I should breed my (in heat) lionesses now or not. I want to completely wipe his heritage as the idea of inbreeding kinda irks me in this project. I don't have a problem with it but I've gone this far without inbreeding and I'd rather keep it that way. Makes it more challenging! And expensive. Might as well continue doing so! I'll try to haggle around the Trading Center to see what I can sell off for more
. Things are looking good and I'm feeling a lot better! ![](//static.lioden.com/images/emotes/eager.png)
May 6, 2023
β After thinking long and hard, I decided to quit the whole clean process. I'll be inbreeding to quit using so many resources/funds. However, the final lioness won't be dirty. She'll be clean. This way, I can finish this project faster without having to spend so much
. I don't have an income for
or actual money so it makes it a lot harder trying to get
. I think I'm at peace with this, so I can keep my sanity..
β Anyway, a cub with a Savage Mane, Slot 1: Clay Points, Slot 3: Clay Brindle, Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra, and Slot 9: Bone Underfelt was born. I think I'll be kinging him to easily spread the Slot 8 marking. It's not very abundant in my pride, nor is it very abundant in the game in general. So, wish me luck! Have several ladies in heat and have a lot of
on hand due to my pon selling for pure
! Super happy. Can't wait to see what comes of the cubs! I think I'll IBF the pregnant lionesses.
May 6, 2023
β The cubs of the Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra lady that I IBF'd all had multiple traits that I needed. One stood out though. A cub with the Savage Mane, Slot 5: Vitiligo 4, Slot 6: Cream Margay, Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra, and Slot 9: Bone Underfelt. Almost all of the breed-only traits I need, only missing the Slot 1: Clay Points and Slot 3: Clay Brindle markings I need. That should be pretty easy to get though, considering those are NCL markings and I should be able to mass breed those easily.
β So essentially, Phase 1 is almost over. How do I feel? Relieved and excited! So much money has been spent and I'm perfectly okay with that! I've decided to king that newly born cub. Say hello to Benvolio VI! I'll be mass breeding in heat NCL's with those markings until I (hopefully) get a cub with all the traits I need. May take a while and I'm okay with playing the long game! After that, Phase 2 will commence where I'll gather a bunch of NCL's and breed them until I get most of the breed-only traits/markings on several lions, apply the Ivory bases, and hope for the best!
May 9, 2023
β After kinging Benvolio VI, I got several in heat NCL's with the Slot 1: Clay Points marking and the Slot 3: Clay Brindle marking. I bred them with Benvolio VI and IBF'd the lionesses with 2+ cubs. Mostly duds, some with multiple breed-only traits, but the most outstanding cub was received from a two cub litter. She had a Savage Mane, Slot 1: Clay Points, Slot 5: Vitiligo 4, Slot 6: Cream Margay, Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra, and Slot 9: Bone Underfelt. One more marking left to go!
β I'll be kinging that cub, making her the next Benvolio. She'll be known as Benvolio VII. Benvolio VII will breed to lionesses with the Slot 3: Clay Brindle marking until a cub hopefully pops out with all the traits I need. Then, I can king them, heritage replace them, and breed them to a bunch of NCL's to hopefully breed all the breed-only traits (alongside the base) onto one lion.
December 27, 2023
β Been on hiatus for months, mostly because getting on Lioden felt like a chore and a grind after a while. Only thing I really enjoyed was this project alongside my own personal RMA project (which I found I was spending too many funds on anyway). Regardless, I think I'm coming back to the game (as I usually do around this time of year anyway) in hopes of finishing up this project which has become so dear to me.
β I've chased out most of my project lions, only really leaving room for lions with 4+ of the traits that I need (whether it be mane type, markings, etc). The only exception are lions that have Slot 3: Clay Brindle considering Benvolio VII doesn't have that marking and I need it to pass on eventually. After all markings and mane type get passed on, then Phase 2 will start but for now, we need a little more time.
