Hollyfrost sniffed the brisk cold air. She flicked her tail and shuddered. Why did she have to go on the earliest patrol? In the middle of Leaf-bare! She shook her head and sighed. She had to track all the way to the Spiritclan border to reascent the markers. At least she wasn't alone, her brother Sparkclaw was with her, along with Ivysight, Mallowthorn, and Pebblepaw. Her brother nudged her encouragingly. "C'mon, it's not that bad out!" He smiled. He was always happy, even if they just buried another cat! Hollyfrost rolled her eyes. "Ican see my own breath, it is bad out." She growled. "I just want to get this over with quickly and go back to my nest before I get a runny nose like Mintwhisker." She said.

Webdream was treading out of his camp with the rest of the border patrol. His body was relaxed as his paws hit the cold earth, his twitched his whiskers as he looked at his sister with a mundane look. "What now, Solarstorm??" He mumbled to her as he wasn't really happy with his sister. He didn't understand why she was out here when she wasn't even on the patrol he's leading, and he didn't mind as whenever he's the patrol leader, she likes to take over. He sighed as he continued walking.

She bounced around him as she shook her fur with a shiver. "Nothin! Just wanted to say Leopardstar sent me with you guys on the patrol! So im coming with you guys!" She purred as she didn't care what mood her brother was in.

Webdream goaned out loud as he sighed once more after hearing this. "Fine, but I'M in control, not you." He said with a warning growl before trotting off. "Come on Petaldream, Aspenpaw, you will stay at the back as well as you Solarstorm." He stated numbly at her name. "And you, Snowflower, will be up at the front with me." He said as he began towards the border, reaching it he went into formation. Everyone followed the orders as they went where they were supposed to go.

Holyfrost reached the border, sniffing the air and yawned. "Spritclan borders are stale." She said, glancing at Mallowthorn. Mallowthorn sniffed the air, opening his jaws to breath in the air. "She's right." She said, looking at the others. "Well at least we are here to reascent our side." Ivysight meowed as he padded up to them.

A few heartbeats later, pebblepaw perked his ears. "A patrol!" He said, pointing with his tail to the spritclan side of the border.

Webdream scented the other patrol from the other clan as he hurried to turn around to his sister. "NO starting anything!" He snapped at her as he turned to the rest of them, "We are here to rescent these borders and then report back to Leopardstar, Do you guys understand?" The rest of the border patrol understood as he then continued forward, reaching the border he scented it. He looked over as he locked eyes with a shecat from the enemy clan. His breath hitched in his throat as he couldn't tear his gaze away from hers.

Aspenpaw giggled as she watched her mentor lock eyes with a shecat and she shook her head. "Webdream! We have to continue to scent the rest of the border." She spoke softly so she doubted that Webdream had even heard her. She turned her gaze to look where he was looking and seen Pebblepaw.

Petaldream and Snowflower had stopped behind Webdream after scenting the border.

Hollyfrost stared at Webdream, her heart pounding so loud that she was sure that everyone could hear it. She shook her head and looked at her brother. "Gooday." Sparkclaw purred kindly to the other patrol. "Just reascenting our borders like you." He replied. "No need to get hostile." He glanced at his sister, eyeing her with a confused expression. "Interested in the frosted grass? I thought you were cold." He purred amusement. "Y-yep. This grass is beautiful today." She said, rolling her eyes before glancing for a heartbeat back at webdream.

Pebblepaw smiled at Aspenpaw. "Hi! My name is-" He was shut out by his mentor, Mallowthorn. "They aren't friends." She growled at him, lashing her tail. "We should be leaving."

Webdream responded back to Sparkclaw. "hello. Yes, no one is hostile here." He said as he was confused on why he would say that before he looked at his sister and groaned. "Mousebrain!" He yelled at his sister as he seen her snarling at Mallowthorn in an attack position. He padded to be in front of her. "Enough!" He growled at his sister as she hissed in defeat at him and turn away. "Go back to the camp!" He yelled after her, before turning to the other border patrol. "I apologize deeply about her, something must've crawled in her nest and bit her this morning." He said as he shook his long beautifully patterned fur. He lifted his huge head as he looked at Hollyfrost again as he dipped his head.

Aspenpaw smiled back, not caring about the rude mentor. "My name is Aspenpaw!" She replied as she blushed. "Ill see you at the gathering tonight!" She didn't say that one too loud.

Hollyfrost smiled and dipped her head as well. Sparkclaw nodded, prodding his sister in the side with his elbow. "She too." He smiled. "Must have been stung by a wasp." "Wasps aren't even- never mind." Hollyfrost didn't even try to argue with him. "Whatever." She rolled her eyes. "We should be leaving now." Ivysight meowed calmly. The patrol nodded. agreement.

Pebblepaw blushed. "y-yeah!" He nodded to her. "See you then!" he whispered before following his mentor away.

Webdream chuckled at the patrol leader's brother's comment. "We should get going too, come on Aspenpaw, Petaldream and Snowflower, We need to continue our scent marking." He said without loosing eye contact with Hollyfrost. He then let the eye contact go, and walked along the border and continued to scent.

Aspenpaw nodded back at him as she blushed at the other tom that seemed to be around her age. She then turned around and followed her Deputy along the border.

Hollyfrost settled herself next her brother who was chatting up a storm with Mallowthorn. Pebblepaw sat next to them, flicking his tail excitedly. Hollyfrost yawned and curled her tail over her paws and crouched down into a loaf-position. Nothing seemed to important this gathering, so she didn't mind not paying attention.
