There was no signs of amusement from Selene's dire wolf comment. Other than the amused huff that escaped his nostrils. "It's not all bad, as the Midnight Pack's medic, you've seen far worse." Vidar would comment, taking a look at his wounds. It was true, the injuries weren't all bad. However, it wasn't very often that the colossal brute had to visit their medic due to injuries. Most of the blood on him wasn't his. This time around, it was a good mix of blood he had drawn and his own. "While I certainly wouldn't compare the Sungods Alpha to our ancestors, he certainly fought like a caged wolf. I've never seen him so eager to draw blood." The black male would comment, ear flicking in the medic's direction. "Although, I suppose it makes sense. I did kill their Beta, Ezra." It had finally gotten out, the real reason why he was so injured and why war was now amongst their land. His hues would return to the medic, half-lidded, looking to see how she would react to the subject of war. As their healer, now she'd be needed more so than ever. Although it wasn't in Selene's nature, Vidar almost expected a scolding from her. He couldn't even imagine what it was like to be a medic, to see packmates close to their death bed and have it in one's paws. It was a pressure that Vidar was sure he wouldn't be able to handle, maybe a pressure even worse than being a pack's Beta. Of course, Vidar had faith in Selene. He was sure that she'd do her job well, maybe even go beyond his usual expectations of her.

Following after her, Vidar arrived in her den. Immediately, the scent of several herbs hit his nose. His ears would perk up in surprise. His sense of smell was bad, for lack of a better word, due to the deep claw mark across his face. It was unfortunate, a canid with no smell was almost laughable at. And yet, here he was. It was likely due to the close proximity of the herbs but Vidar could smell them. It made him want to sneeze, like a tickle. It was not something he was used to anymore. He'd rub his nose a bit with his right front leg, letting out a huff before continuing deeper in the den. Just as Selene had claimed, there were a couple of moss beds ready to be used. The Beta would lower himself onto the middle one, letting out a sigh of relief. He'd rest his head on the moss, taking in the earthy scent of it as he awaited for the medic to do what she specialized in. His amber hues would watch as she looked at her many stores of herbs, observing as she'd make the remedies needed for him. There was so many herbs, most of which looked the same to Vidar's inexperienced eyes. He'd wonder how the she-wolf in front of him could memorize such herbs, their uses, and recipes. The life of a medic, he supposed. Vidar made a note to thank the albinistic canine for her hard work. Perhaps, he'd let the Midnight Pack Alpha know and maybe they could celebrate her. Vidar would let out a grunt and shake his head, rubbing his face with his uninjured paw. No, that was foolish, they were in the middle of war. That could wait until later, for now, Vidar had to focus on recovering as quickly as possible.

As Selene would apply the poultices on his wounds, Vidar shut his eyes as the throbbing pain of the injuries were replaced with the stinging of medicine. The Beta would make no signs of pain or distress, merely closing his eyes and focusing his mind on each stinging of his wounds. Vidar realized that Selene hadn't taken it that way and he was offered something for his pain, which he took simply to soothe the aching in his back. After that, he'd leave his eyes open, glued to the den entrance of the medic's den. Suddenly, the sound of paw steps were heard which had Vidar's ears perk. Instinctively, he'd sit up rather than lay on the moss den, raising his large head at attention. The guest's scent only became known once they entered the den. Bloodborne. Likely to come see if any wounds were particularly dangerous to his well being. Appreciated but he didn't want his Alpha to see him in such a state. So, Vidar would stand up, lifting his injured paw up so he wouldn't damage it even more than it possibly was. "Bloodborne," Vidar would greet the Midnight Pack Alpha, dipping his head respectfully as she entered Selene's den. "How did the pack take it?" After a few moments of having his head dipped, he'd raise it once more to look at his Alpha. He'd wonder if they had taken it well. Then again, he didn't have much hope for that either. It was war after all, even the rumored "bloodthirsty" Midnight wolves didn't enjoy war, for from what he'd heard, it had been years since their last one.
