Tilting his large head to view the Midnight Pack's medic, Vidar nodded and let out a quiet sigh through his nose. The thought of being confined to the medic den sent the fur atop of his back upwards, bristling uneasy. There was much to do, especially now. Vidar had helped break the tension between both Midnights and Sungods, the tension that held them back from attacking each other. It had always been there, as the two packs had been rivals ever since the dawn of their creation. Or at least, from what he had heard from his denmates when he first stumbled upon this foreign land. The last thing he wanted was for his Alpha to deal with his consequences without him taking responsibility for what he had done. As the Beta of the Midnight Pack, it was his job to train the capable wolves of the Midnight Pack. It wasn't that Vidar lacked faith in his pack, for he was aware of how much better they were in battle than their Sungods counterparts. In Vidar's eyes, it was necessary though. To teach them the ancient methods that he had learned in his birth pack when drawing blood so they'd have the best chance of victory. Vidar was eager to repay them for all they had done for him, even if it was such a simple thing as letting him into the pack. If they were to lose the war, Vidar wouldn't know what to do, nor how to feel about himself.

Realizing that his mind had drifted onto moral dilemmas, Vidar turned to face the Alpha of the Midnight Pack and let out a slight sigh, shaking his head. He should have seen it coming. Even the rumored "blood thirsty" Midnight wolves weren't keen on the idea of war, especially since their last one had been about half a century ago. The thought had his brow furrow. That meant that while the Midnight Pack was more well off in terms of combat from the Sungods, they were still rusty. Sharp enough to fight, of course, but rusty in the terms of war. Vidar too was rusty on the concept, having only learned the histories of war of his birth pack rather than experience them. He had left before that. So, how would the colossal brute instill any knowledge in his pack? "The Sungods were left weak, Bloodborne," The Beta would begin his analysis, even if it was in the middle of his injuries being tended to. Vidar had faith in Selene, deeming her in an innocent light. He trusted she wouldn't spout out any of their conversations with the rest of the pack until they announced it. Or, with any other unaffiliated canids out and about. "Their Beta is dead. There was another wolf who was knocked unconscious, I don't know if she's still alive or simply badly injured. Another one of their wolves is injured at the leg." Vidar would explain slowly. "Meaning, they're already on the weaker side. Apollo has gone mad, making impulsive actions that are not fit for a leader. He's not right in the head, I doubt he'll make any justifiable actions." It was true, the Sungods were suffering from a good amount of losses. However, the Midnight Pack, despite his original words to the Sungods, was lacking in numbers, not growing in numbers.

His scorching hues would levitate over to the entrance of the medic den, his eyebrows furrowing to a serious expression. They were outnumbered. While that certainly wasn't a bad thing, if the Midnight wolves could play into their advantages, Vidar had faith that they could survive the war. They were surrounded by many trees. While not as impressive as the spruce trees back home, Vidar still knew how to travel around them. Perhaps, he could teach the pack some more stealthy attacks, make them true masters of the forest. Almost as if bursting his bubble, his paw began to sting once again. His eyes would drift down and he'd scowl. Not with these current injuries. He'd hope that Bloodborne would have something else in mind that didn't require much heavy duty. However, that was near impossible with war. While Vidar wouldn't complain with the idea of working with injuries, he did want to heal the quickest he could. And how was that? Well, by taking it easy. Or as easy as he could in these current moments.
