I’m thinking about selling my pon’s first gear since my king is dirty rn and I don’t feel secure in breeding her with them and I could use any money made from it, I’m just unsure of how one usually sells a hybrid heat? I’ve never done this before-

Hello! <3

If lineage is your only reason, you could always use an outside stud?

However, if looking to sell the heat:
The site's official Reverse Breeding feature would be the most secure for both players- the cubs get auto-assigned to the requestee, & show up in their cave when weaned.
You can set her price from her page & it essentially works like a stud request, except you accept their reverse breed request as the female which breeds to their male.
There's little to no involvement other than clicking a button.
Advertising in the Reverse Breeding forum usually leads to quick interest, especially for clean hybrids like yours.

The other method (sometimes called 'traditional' as it pre-dates the official system) used when the buyer wants to use a stud other than their own involves accepting items from the buyer beforehand, using them as directed, & sending out a stud request yourself to their chosen stud, usually nesting & instant-birthing the cubs, then aging up & transferring the cubs yourself. (NEVER transfer your hybrid, if they want the cubs to age naturally let her stay on YOUR account & send them the cubs when weaned- most sellers require Aging Stones, so everything's finished day-of). It's more involved, relies on honesty/transparency between players & is not supported by mods in case things turn sour.
This is where you'll see the terms "split heat" & "full heat" used- i'm not sure how much you've looked into any option so will stop there.

You can also do a 'heat auction' & give the heat to the highest bidder (usually a good option for First Generation hybrids), or 'raffle' though it sounds like you're leaning more towards a straight-up sale.

Hope this helps some & Good luck! <3
